    Chaplains are officers, so I suppose the anti-theists on this thread would have proffered an entire platoon be compromised for insubordination then simply have the officer disciplined.

    I don't think they do. Right, cause trying to convert people I think is against the law there, isn't it? By that I mean convert to non-Muslim. I think it's mostly theocracy, but I guess maybe I'm not 100% sure.

    I half agree.
    I still think laws and culture should be respected to make sure the locals don't hate your guts and try to kill you even more.
    If you are abiding by laws that you personally do not agree with, that is the issue of the soldier. Do your job and leave.
