Lawmakers arrested in protest of Darfur crisis

5 Congressmen, along with a former State Department advisor, have been arrested as they were staging a peaceful protest against the government of Darfur, and their "crimes against humanity", outside their embassy.

It is good to see members of Congress actually doing something, and putting themselves on the line, instead of bloviating hot air inside the halls of Congress. Kudos to them. Now the big question - Is President Obama, for all of his talk, going to pay any attention? Talk is cheap.

    Article is here.

I disagree, this is totally inappropriate for Congressmen. The President carries on foreign policy for the US, not Congress.

THANK YOU. I was wondering if anyone would have pointed this out. It was not okay when lawmakers led foreign policy charges under Bush and it is not ok if they do it under Obama.
