Experts: North Korea a Fully Fledged Nuclear Power

The world’s intelligence agencies and defense experts are quietly acknowledging that North Korea has become a fully fledged nuclear power with the capacity to wipe out entire cities in Japan and South Korea, the Times of London reported.

The new reality has emerged in off-hand remarks and in single sentences buried in lengthy reports. Increasing numbers of authoritative experts — from the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to the U.S. Defense Secretary — are admitting that North Korea has miniaturized nuclear warheads to the extent that they can be launched on medium-range missiles, according to intelligence briefings. - Experts: North Korea a Fully Fledged Nuclear Power - North Korea | Map | Government

Japan is probably going to go nuclear.
Which will start a Pacific nuclear arms race.

Re: Experts: North Korea a Fully Fledged Nuclear Power

I would want more evidence apart from off-hand remarks. Even if this is true, what is anyone going to do about it?

The answer is nothing... at least not until a bomb is dropped. I'm also not overly concerned given that China will wipe NK off the map, regardless if it's an ally or not, rather than let it threaten its economic ties and status quo because of some radical ideology.

I also doubt Japan will go nuclear. If anything it will invest in interception technology.
