EXCLUSIVE: Senator's husband's firm cashes in on crisis

If this true hopefully she suffers the harshest punishments.

EXCLUSIVE: Senator's husband's firm cashes in on crisis - Washington Times

On the day the new Congress convened this year, Sen. Dianne Feinstein introduced legislation to route $25 billion in taxpayer money to a government agency that had just awarded her husband's real estate firm a lucrative contract to sell foreclosed properties at compensation rates higher than the industry norms.

Mrs. Feinstein's intervention on behalf of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. was unusual: the California Democrat isn't a member of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs with jurisdiction over FDIC; and the agency is supposed to operate from money it raises from bank-paid insurance payments - not direct federal dollars.

Documents reviewed by The Washington Times show Mrs. Feinstein first offered Oct. 30 to help the FDIC secure money for its effort to stem the rise of home foreclosures. Her letter was sent just days before the agency determined that CB Richard Ellis Group (CBRE) - the commercial real estate firm that her husband Richard Blum heads as board chairman - had won the competitive bidding for a contract to sell foreclosed properties that FDIC had inherited from failed banks.

About the same time of the contract award, Mr. Blum's private investment firm reported to the Securities and Exchange Commission that it and related affiliates had purchased more than 10 million new shares in CBRE. The shares were purchased for the going price of $3.77; CBRE's stock closed Monday at $5.14.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

And CNN and MSNBC run nothing about any of this. Same for Rangel, Murtha, Harman, etc.

Gotta go to Drudge or FoxNews to find out what the hell is really going on these days. You'd think CNN would eventually figure out why their ratings are so paltry, but I'm not holding my breath.

And the libs claim that the liberal media isn't biased or not liberal. Had this been a republican or someone claiming to be a conservative this story would have been aired 24/7 all over the news like the Abugrabanarab(Abu Ghraib) photo scandal or the Larry Craig scandal.

And the libs are avoiding this thread too...
Welfare (Food Stamps, WIC, etc...) are not entitlements. They are taxpayer funded handouts and shouldn't be called entitlements at all. Social Security and Veteran's benefits are 'Entitlements' because the people receiving them are entitled to them. They were earned and paid for by the recipients.

This should most certainly be scrutinized, as well as any other public figure who makes choices based-on personal interest. Elected officials should represent "The People," after all.
No men are anywhere, and Im allowed to go in, because Im the owner of the pageant and therefore Im inspecting it, Trump said... Is everyone OK? You know, theyre standing there with no clothes. Is everybody OK? And you see these incredible looking women, and so I sort of get away with things like that.

TROUBLE is an awful strong word Chevy. [ " My husband simply made a wise investment, one which brought nice returns", your honor. MAM, you and your husband are charged with espionage, and insider tradeing. You are in big trouble. ] HMMMM maybe TROUBLE is the right word to describe where some demorats live.

You really don't believe what those folks report... DO YOU?

If CNN and MSNBC run nothing, that means it doesn't exist... period... and it also means FOX and Drudge are making it all up.
