I have a one step solution:

    "No"

Father to Son when asked if he can play Halo... well I'd say that anyway, halo blows.
Climate, changes. It takes a particularly uneducated population to buy into the idea that it's their fault climate is changing and further political solutions can fix it.

I'm sure no one here is addicted to videogames.
Yeah man I was addicted. I don't think I am anymore, but I definitely love playing.

Do you ever refer to yourself by the name of your In-Game character, or cling to your character's name for your emails, instant messenger, etc?

More like appropriately dismissive. I deal with tons of kids that are into this kind of gaming. Do some get addicted? A few. Have I ever seen the online gaming lead to violence? Never. And remember the population I work with...these are kids who already have problems. Does it happen? Sure. And it is as much the game's fault as it is the gun's fault when someone shoots up a post office. I have explained this to you several times over the past year or so, or however long you have brought this up at DP. I will continue to do so. You are shifting responsibility from the actor to the "tool" the game...or the gun.

If you want to discuss gaming addiction, that's one thing...it's an issue like compulsive gambling. If you want to discuss how gaming can be a "nationally recognized threat to our very existence", I'll appropriately dismiss this foolishness and continue to use my gun analogy.

Like I said, that usually stops you.

My name on here is the name of my main character in every online game I have played.

    You can stop everyone here.

    One way or another.

    The deck is stacked.
