I agree completely with what you're saying. My only contention was you were painting it as if its simply Obama and the left that would push for Government Internvention and I was pointing out such idoicy is found across the isle, including with our threat starter.

I'm sure no one here is addicted to videogames.
Just out of curiosity, but where does your hatred of video games stem from? You obviously are on a big personal crusade against them and it has to come from somewhere. I'm just curious because there are countless other things that are far more harmful to our youth than video games.

Wait.. sorry, it's the Obama era, we need to have congressional hearings, and pass laws.
You also realize that this issue has been going on long before Obama was President, with, in your words, parents not parenting long before Obama was President. Your bring Obama into this is completely irrelevant. This is precisely what I mean by hyperpartisanship.

And as an aside, I have treated people for gaming addiction. It is similar to any other kind of addiction, and goes beyond parenting.

Figured you'd come along CC, with your BS crap about Hyperpartisanship.

You're right, it's been around longer then Obama's been Pres, but I believe Obama would ACTUALLY PUSH FOR AND SIGN a bill to "fight the problem".

There is a difference, that's not hyper partisan, that's just stating what's what. Don't like that, kiss my rear.

If you bothered to read my next post... you'd see I clarified why I said that... for people like you that think they have a right to judge others comments based on your limited understanding of the po... no it's not limited, you have a sad belief anyone cares anymore what you consider hyper partisan, and that you are the appointed judge of what's "hyper partisan" and what's not.

There was no need, as me and Z had discussed this point, for you to come bumbling in with your unwanted, unwarranted, and FALSE statement.

What I said was not hyper-partisan, what you are doing is trolling to stoke your ego, go away if that's all you have to offer. I'm sick of your ****.

No, not really. Parenting is where it starts, kids that live at home... it's mom and dad who need to be parents, I don't believe in making excuses for lazy parents.

If Obama were stupid enough to actually propose something dealing with this issue he would deserve all of the criticism that would get thrown at him. However, considering that this issue has absolutely zilch to do with Obama at the present time I fail to see how he is even relevant in this discussion. I realize that the anti-Obama crowd is eager to attack the man on everything from legitimate issues to completely idiotic issues, but perhaps you should wait until something actually involving him pops up on the radar instead of involving him out of thin air.

I highly doubt that. I don't think any sitting President would sign into legislature parenting rules. If they did that then they would have to federally limit excessive playing, watching TV, reading, etc. as all result in the same thing video games do.

I was making half a joke, BUT I SUPPOSE that goes over the heads of those who get tingly legs when Obama speaks.

Just because I don't think that every attack against Obama is legitimate means that I'm Chris Matthews all of a sudden? Give me a break.

And where exactly was the joke? I honestly don't see how it's not partisan hackery in any context, so please enlighten me.
