Democrats: Texas gov should disavow secession talk

Somebody should educate the Democrats that what is "un-American" is disregarding the Constitution and disrespecting state authority.

No, Texas should not secede at this time, but neither should the Federal government feel that it can disregard the prerogatives of state governments.

Only a democrat could confuse "affirming soveriegnty under the constitution" for "secession".

It's because "democrat" and "hysterics" are synonymous.

What, if anything, did that add to the conversation except to prove that your perceptions are hysterical, warped, mega-super-jumbo-hyperpartisan, and uncalled for?

Re: Democrats: Texas gov should disavow secession talk

    Wait...

People saying that the sitting President of the United States during the time of war is a Nazi, is the equivalent of Hitler, is a war criminal, and is reveling and excited in the deaths of our citizens and soldiers is something Democrats told us isn't un-american and we shouldn't question.

People saying our troops are murderers and torturers that are raping iraqi women left and right and sneaking into homes at night just to terrorize people is something Democrats told us isn't un-american and we shouldn't question.

People suggesting that the government planned out and killed 3000 of their own citizens, injured countless others, and did untold amount of damage to a city is something Democrats told us isn't un-american and we shouldn't question.

And I can go on and on and on....

THOSE Things we're told, you can't call un-american.

But affirming a states sovereignty as delegated BY THE UNITED STATES ****ING CONSTITUTION is somehow ****ing un-american?!?!!?!

Representative Duncan, please go screw off and shut your mouth, your drivel makes every one of your cohorts in your party look worse for it you ignorant little ****ing prick.

I'm a Democrat and I don't agree with the "Texas Democrats" referenced in the linked to paragraph being masqueraded as a "news article". The Governor has every ability to say what he did.

Wow. I can't believe you people.

Some people were pissed that they still had to pay taxes, even in these hard economic times and threw a fit and protested. That, in no way, gives the Texan governor the right to mention secession as a possibility. It clearly says in our Pledge of Allegiance 'One Nation, under God, INDIVISIBLE'.

    So yes, it is un-American.

The Federal government did nothing out of its jurisdiction, the republicans (if you want to make this about party affiliaition) are being overdramatic and are still sore about the election.

I bet you wouldn't be pissed at the Rep. who told a democratic governor the same thing in the same situation.
