Threads a wonderful example of how the "world" reacts to these thing.
Spend more time arguing nuances in language and legalistic BS then doing anything.
Which is exactly the end goal..doing nothing.

USA under Obama talks big but carries a toothpick ..and everyone knows it.

Oh gosh, please don't cry; how foolish of me to think that your clown like attempt was just an effort at honest debate and not one trying to turn the thread into the typical DP bait and troll circus filled with nonsensical one liners.

Good lord, man up already and stop your whining.

Oh yeah, we are walking tall now aren't we. That big bad Obama is talking tough now. I bet despots, thugs, terrorists, dictators and, lest we not forget the dear pirates, are all quaking in their booties.

Oh wait, they are cheering that Obama won! Never mind, I keep forgetting this is not about substance, this is about drama and hysterics.

I can think of three dead pirates that might disagree with you, (if they only could. )

Exactly. I can't understand how anyone would try to characterize the actions of the US Navy in this instance as anything but badass.

I have to give a nod to Obama for allowing our Seals to take the bastards out.

    Nice shot man.

Even with my soft spot for the pirates I agree. I was thinking there was a good chance we would just refuse to pay the ransom and forgo any rescue attempt which would have sucked for the hostages family and horribly disappointed me. The fact that we were able to get him back was badass.

    Not a chance...

The fact that we were able to get him back was badass.
Definitely. Again, I would have preferred that everybody walk away alive, but the use of force was definitely justified.

Even if we had paid the ransom all we would have to do is follow to them secretly to some uninhabited island and wait for them to bury it. Pirates are just so predictable.
