Black man's killing by police shakes La. town

Please point out how many ethnic groups were slaves and suffered under Jim Crow?

So predictable. This is precisely the Plight of the Black Man pity party I have referred to over and over again.

You've never been a slave, so stop pretending to be a victim.

Just so you understand you are looking like a complete and utter idiot at this point?

You keep telling yourself that. I'm sure you can guilt trip a sympathizer or an apologist to agree with you.

Then you can all feel warm & fuzzy together.

How could educating racists be bad thing?

For one thing, they AND you would have had a totally different outlook on how things work in the world given the time.

#2 - they would not have listened to you as a teenager, so you'd have "educated" no one. You would not have gotten past, "Can I talk to you for a minute, sir?"

#3 - If they weren't listening to Abraham Lincoln, what makes you think they'd be open to you "educating" them.

#4 - You're talking in feel good sound bytes.

#5 - There's a world of difference between trying to educate and actually educating. To assume you could achieve the latter is arrogant. It's noble. But it's not reality.

Yes they were and I would go as far to say the Chinese were treated close to slaves.

In the end they were not taken by force and sold in America as a slave.

But all this has little to do with my initial statement.

True, they weren't. But then, Africans weren't taken by white men to start with either. They were taken by other Africans and then sold to white men. Just so we're clear.

And you're right, it has very little to do with anything anymore.

They sure did in America, which happens to be the country we are talking about right now.

Oh oh oh...so now we're going to move the goal posts from your original statement to something more defined.

You and an open window...the very definitions of transparency.

Well that's about ignorant. White people didn't start slavery.

They did in America, and that is what he is referring to. Please don't play stupid as I know you are not.

They sure did in America, which happens to be the country we are talking about right now.

You're wrong. The Spanish brought slaves to the islands. They then came to Florida.

Slavery started in Africa, black on black.

Read my post again:

I would not want to kill them, I would want to educate them.

I never assumed I would achieve by goal, but I lose nothing by trying.

No, they didn't. Slavery has roots that go way further back than colonialism. Please don't play stupid as I know you are not.

You're wrong. The Spanish brought slaves to the islands. They then came to Florida.

Slavery started in Africa, black on black.

You won't get very far with disseminating this kind of truth to the black race baiters and the white "guilt monkeys".

Don't put words in my mouth. I did not say "it has very little to do with anything anymore" that makes you a liar.

I said it has little to do with my initial statement.

Africans did not take other Africans thousands of miles away. African slaves could marry into the family etc. It was not even remotely the same.

You're wrong. The Spanish brought slaves to the islands. They then came to Florida.

Slavery started in Africa, black on black.
So then they perpetuated it for many years... Not much better.

Read my post again:

I never assumed I would achieve by goal, but I lose nothing by trying.

Yes, you said you would educate them. That's why I questioned your naivete.

No, they didn't. Slavery has roots that go way further back than colonialism. Please don't play stupid as I know you are not.

Nice strawman, please try again.

It is EXACTLY the same. Africans sold other africans as property. Slavery is slavery is slavery is slavery. It doesn't matter if the yard nigger can become a house nigger some day by giving head to the massa' or not. It's still slavery and not something I am willing to stomach.

Oh oh oh...so now we're going to move the goal posts from your original statement to something more defined.

You and an open window...the very definitions of transparency.
I apologize that you failed to comprehend my initial statement.

So then they perpetuated it for many years... Not much better.

Who abolished slavery first? The Americans? Spanish? British? Serious question, as I don't know the answer. I figure it makes a bit of a difference.

Nice strawman, please try again.

Oh so I see. We can go off about how bad slavery was as long as we don't go far enough back to remember that it was blacks who started it themselves.

You need to learn the definition of straw man, pal.

So then they perpetuated it for many years... Not much better.

As did other nations in regard to slavery, an acceptable practice for the era.

Keep apologizing, it's fun watching you and the others trying to keep the goalposts moving.

It is EXACTLY the same. Africans sold other africans as property. Slavery is slavery is slavery is slavery.

No it is not. Slavery is like anything else has different sects so to speak. To deny this is the height of stupidity.

It doesn't matter if the yard nigger can become a house nigger some day by giving head to the massa' or not. It's still slavery and not something I am willing to stomach.

Again with the strawman.

Yes, you said you would educate them. That's why I questioned your naivete.
I would WANT to educate them. What are you missing? I also WANT to end world hunger and I WANT a cure for AIDS. That hardly makes it feasible.

No it is not. Slavery is like anything else has different sects so to speak. To deny this is the height of stupidity.

Again with the strawman.

Again, you need to learn what a straw man is.

No you do.

His comment was about slavery in the Americas, nothing else.

Again nice strawman.
