Re: Black man's killing by police shakes La. town

Why does it always seem that the blacks on messageboards are the ones running around measuring every word with a black ruler? I mean if they want bigotry to go away, shouldn't they be the last ones to bring any such implications up?

Because being a victim is so much less work than just growing the **** up and moving on.

Two people in the thread asked where you live. You didn't answer. Was it such a big deal to just tell us?

Your posts are weird and you have a really bad attitude so I rarely read any of them. And I just can't stand elitist bigotry.

Don't paint with such a broad brush. You may not know the race and/or ethnicity of some members.

    Yes.

    I have it.

The cops allegedly saw a random gun sitting on a chair as they rushed through the house and then they shot this guy and said, "Hey, Joe, go grab that gun you saw on the porch, it might belong to this guy" and lo and behold, it did! Hallellujah! Jesus! Amen! A miracle occured.

Meanwhile the shooting victim was allegedly pointing a deadly water bottle at the cops...possibly to get them wet so they too could enjoy the tasering, according to the completely unbiased and totally honest witness who weren't around when the events happened.

It could even be the cops are telling the truth and the crowd is lying. Gee, that's never happened before. White cops have never been railroaded by black agitators before, not in America!

Because other ethnic groups never make bigoted statements like "Why does it always seem that the blacks on messageboards are the ones running around measuring every word with a black ruler?

As far as bringing up bigotry, everyone has some bigotry, No one is guiltless regardless of race.

Hundreds of years of oppression and bigotry are just so easy to get over you see.

In 1870 the 15th Amendment was passed: 1. The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude.

This was a good start, but it did not last long. Unfortunately this only applied to men 21 and older. In order to limit voting rights states implemented all kinds of tests and other criteria which had to be passed in order to vote. in 1965 Lyndon Johnson proposed "The Voting Rights Act of 1965" limiting the power of states to change their voting laws to restrict who could vote. It wasn't until the early 70's however that most blacks were able to actually vote freely.

The right to even vote was not changed until 30 years ago for Blacks (in comparison to whites) and lets not even go into the "Jim Crow" era as a whole.

This is no excuse for the "ghetto culture" or "white man holding me down" garbage. There is cause and affect here though, and it was not that long ago.

I think my point is quite valid no matter who is what. Whether we have one black member or hundreds, I've been on enough messageboards to see the pattern. But thanks for the advice. Besides, it's not a broad brush at all, if you read my post correctly.

We've all had our crosses to bear. To continue using racism and bigotry as an excuse, only leads us back to the boy who cried wolf, after awhile, people stop listening.
Pain can be such a beautiful thing
