Slavery can be traced back to ancient Egypt. Tough call on who abolished it first.

    Which you have done.

    Again nice strawman.
Again...we can talk about the evils of slavery as long as we don't get too deep into the conversation because then we would have to acknowledge the ugly little truth that the Africans were selling other Africans...that slavery in America wouldn't have been so prolific had it not been for Africans selling their own people for a profit.

And you still need to learn what a straw man is.

Oh no, I have interpreted you exactly as you have presented yourself: it's okay to talk about slavery as long as we leave out the dirty little secret that it was enabled by Africans themselves.

Your dishonesty and commitment to framing the discussion in a convenient way for you are astounding.

Truthfullness is always a better way, EgoffTib. We all want those things. It doesn't make it so by just saying we would do something when chances are, we couldn't, wouldn't or mightn't. Sure it feels good to say it, but you have to be realistic.

#1 We are not talking about the evils of slavery.
#2 We are talking about the affects of slavery in America.
#3 Africa has little or nothing to do with this converstaion and your comments are fallacy at best.

If you want to talk avout slavery in the Africa, cool. This debate has nothing at all to do with it and is again nothing but fallacy at it's best.

Be realistic? We were talking about traveling through time!

Well, I was talking about enslaving Africans. But that makes me think maybe I should seek reparations from the Egyptian Gov't for enslaving my people. I've got my eyes on some sweet little Nefertari earrings.

No, it's not interesting at all that you and blackdog lamprey to each other's posts, pretending to understand one another's dishonesty. You are the two elements of this society that need each other: 1 to remind everyone of something that happened before he was even born and 1 to display a false sense of guilt over what others did before any of us were born.

Well, that's what everyone was saying. But the whole "I would educate them" just smacks of arrogance and naivete. I made my point.
