They can all eat crow for all I, as a liberal, give a ****. By the way...what does black crow taste like?
So what, Hatuey? Many of these folks have applauded Obama for his actions. Do you expect them to kiss the ground he walks on? They're conservatives. Their ideology is contradictory to his. They're not going to agree with him. It pisses me off, too, when some of these folks focus on minutae, or go on and on about ridiculousness. But this is more of an opportunity to find common ground than to go on the attack. I attack these folks harder than anyone when they go all hyperpartisan. And I will applaude them when they don't...which is what they are doing, right now.

I will echo what MrVicchio said to Triad. You are not helping. This ain't the place for it. This is a unifying issue, and you are the one creating divisiveness. Doing exactly what you complain they do. Do what you will, but I will go after this as quickly as I go after a conservative who starts an idiotic hyperpartisan thread.

And black crow tastes like chicken. It's good with hot sauce.

    I'll explain.

Many of these folks have applauded Obama for his actions.
Because they have no other choice. If the situation had ended with a dead hostage they'd be right on this board flaming Obama nonstop for doing exactly what they were bitching to do only with the results they were all hoping for.
Do you expect them to kiss the ground he walks on?
No. Eat crow. It's a lot more satisfying.

    They're conservatives.
    Meh. Nobody is perfect.
Their ideology is contradictory to his.
Which is why this feels so sweet and I can't wait to watch them all play the 'well I'll act classy' card until they find something else to bitch about to.

They're not going to agree with him.
Nope. They'll talk about teleprompters and NCAA meetings and then eat crow. It's fun to watch them though.

It pisses me off, too, when some of these folks focus on minutae, or go on and on about ridiculousness.
Oh no. I actually like it. Obama just basically shut them all up just like he did in the elections with that Alaska chick who was supposed to bring conservatism back like a bad rash. What's her name?

But this is more of an opportunity to find common ground than to go on the attack.
No common ground on this. They ALL shot at Obama. Now they can ALL bow their heads in shame. It all comes down to what they said. It's clear to anybody who reads this thread that the majority of right wingers in this thread had their bets on Obama to lose. End of story.

I attack these folks harder than anyone when they go all hyperpartisan. And I will applaude them when they don't...which is what they are doing, right now.

Oh whatever the **** ever. MrVicchio has no choice but to act like he wasn't the one saying that Obama didn't have balls and that he needed a teleprompter and that he wasn't going to do ****. I could care less what his new revised stance due to his epic fail is. He talked **** until the very end. Now he can drown in his own words and I'll bring them up to him whenever I see it fit

And black crow tastes like chicken. It's good with hot sauce.
Rats with feathers aren't all that appetizing to me.

The gravy tends to overpower the delicate flavor of the bird. A light lemon sauce, with some tabasco on the side, for a little kick, is a better choice.

Yes they did. And they recanted. Takes honor to do that.

And just a touch of salt, not to much ,just a touch.
The haggardness of poverty is everywhere seen contrasted with the sleekness of wealth, the exhorted labor of some compensating for the idleness of others, wretched hovels by the side of stately colonnades, the rags of indigence blended with the ensigns of opulence; in a word, the most useless profusion in the midst of the most urgent wants.Jean-Baptiste Say

Actually, my bet was on him to screw the pooch, and we'd all lose. He didn't and we all won.

There is a difference between wanting bad policies and bad politics to fail and wanting the country to fail. I still want Dear Leader's policies and his politics to fail--I think they are dishonorable and disreputable in the extreme, and this does not change my assessment of either in the slightest. The spending-as-stimulus bill is not cleansed of its defects because of this good call; the deficits-are-our-friend budget obscenity is not suddenly palatable because of this good call; his disgusting bow before the Saudi monarch is not suddenly made dignified by this good call; his den-of-thieves Cabinet and economic advisors and their obeisance to crony capitalism are not made enlightened by this good call. All the sins and errors of this Administration are not obliterated by this good call.

I, and I believe MrVicchio, as well as the others you named, want very much for this country to prosper, to grow, and to succeed. That objective requires that Dear Leader and his policies fail, for their success would be harmful to this country.

This one good call does not alter that reality in the slightest.

Yet he is the President, he is the Commander in Chief, and, in this moment, he made the right call at the right time to the right people. He did his job, and he did it well. I am happy in this moment to set aside for this moment my profound opposition to his policies and politics and congratulate him. Tomorrow he will resume pursuing his agenda, and I will resume protesting its grotesqueness.

The shame is not grasping that distinction.

Sure they would have. But they, also could have gone the way of Triad, and given Obama no credit. That didn't happen. Credit where credit is due. This is not about ideology. They are proving it. You are not.

No. Eat crow. It's a lot more satisfying.
Watching someone eat crow and gloating is overrated.

    Meh. Nobody is perfect.
    I can agree, here.

Which is why this feels so sweet and I can't wait to watch them all play the 'well I'll act classy' card until they find something else to bitch about to.
Which, for some, will be about ideology.

Nope. They'll talk about teleprompters and NCAA meetings and then eat crow. It's fun to watch them though.
Of course some of them will. Heck, probably a lot. And it will still be stupid and hyperpartisan to focus on teleprompters and bowing. Especially when we have the economy, health care, and foreign policy to discuss. And I'll go after them when it happens. I'll bet you will too. That doesn't mean that this kind of support, here, needs to be attacked.

Oh no. I actually like it. Obama just basically shut them all up just like he did in the elections with that Alaska chick who was supposed to bring conservatism back like a bad rash. What's her name?
I doubt that is how you feel. I read your posts.

That's fine. And again I say, SO WHAT? Recanting a position, when it is obvious that you strongly support that position is something we see very little of around here. It is nice to see some show some humility. You are missing the point of this entire thing, Hatuey, but I suppose if you are bent on just attacking, regardless, be my guest.

    Good for you?
    I agree with this, also.

Oh whatever the **** ever. MrVicchio has no choice but to act like he wasn't the one saying that Obama didn't have balls and that he needed a teleprompter and that he wasn't going to do ****. You do that. Be part of the problem. Do to the conservatives what they do to you. Notice the hypocrisy of conservatives going after Obama because liberals went after Bush. We hear that all the time. It's hypocritical and partisan. Do you notice that you are doing exactly what you don't like they do?

Rats with feathers aren't all that appetizing to me.
