Don't worry. They are not. Even cons get frustrated/angry with American's posts.

The United States is not a Christian nation. It is one built on secular beliefs. There is a church and state seperation.
Don't mistake a country with a christian majority to mean it IS a christian country.

I'm tuning into FOX. I want to see the reaction, i'm almost breathless to see how they twist it.
I agree completely Laila. Thats how i see Turkey too, its a mainly muslim majority country but the country itself is not muslim (being secular). Spot on case. Thats how i view much of the west too, and thats how america should be viewed also.

America and its laws are based on Christian values.
I don't see Sharia law being used as the baseboard. Might make divorce law simpler.
I don't see Hindu based law.
    Buddhist based law...

America is largely a Christian nation.

Obama just pissed off Christians of all stripes with that one, because I'd venture a poll would reveal Americans think otherwise. It's largely a Christian nation tolerant of other religions; but one where many on the left are intolerant of Christianity.

We know Obama is hostile to American values, and each chip he takes out of her will one day amount to a mosaic of the radical Obama is.

    And again I shall ask............

What about our nation's laws make it "christian" as opposed to jewish?

Edit: Im not on the left, however, Im intolerant of Christians who are intolerant of others, or christians who somehow think their views and opinions on how the state should be run is priority over another citizen because they are a christian.

Thus my obligatory condemnation of White supremacy will now be in every post, lest I be accused of supporting it because I didn't mention it specifically every time I post.

All this time Obama talks about his favorite President and guiding light being Lincoln, and here he goes quoting Jefferson.

American law is not based on "Christian values" and never has been. That's revisionist history borne of the kind of thinker who believes that King James was "divinely inspired" in his revisions of the Bible and thinks Jesus would have supported the Flat Tax. American law is based on the English Common Law, which has its roots in values that predated the Norman invasion of England; many of our Constitutionally protected rights are traditional liberties that the Crown had only recently begun to restrict.

America's values derive from the liberal thinkers of the Enlightenment and the belief that each man is sovereign unto himself-- a direct contradiction to most forms of religious thought.

Not much to be frustrated about your posts since they seldom add any value. All you do is run around here brown-nosing your liberal friends.

You don't speak with any authority. "American law is not based on blah blah blah, and the rest you have no clue what you're talking about. Next you'll bring out the flat-earthers thing. The American culture that has developed over 300 years is Christian. Our laws reflect that culture.

This is your defense of your statements that American law is based upon christian values?
