If software is from God, how do you explain Windows Vista?

I didn't say you were religious, it's simply strange that you and the Fundamentalists have that in common.

Fundamentalists re-write history to suite their own ideological needs.

I don't know what you're trying to imply as you're not doing a good job of it.

It is irrelevant whether "a lot of people consider America to be a Christian nation", it doesn't make it so.
America is not a "Christian nation" any more than it is a "Jewish Nation" or a "Muslim Nation" or a "Buddhist nation". America is a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic and multi-religious country. I realize that there are very vocal right-wing fundamentalists that would love to make this Country a "Christian Nation", but Thankfully we have a Constitution that prevents that.

Obama was 100% right. Its refreshing to have a President who actually understands and respects the US Constitution.

Again, that's your point of view. A lot of Americans believe that the US is in fact a "Christian nation." He is not 100% right in saying "We don't consider the US a Christian nation." He could have added the word "generally" in there to make it closer to the truth.

Most of us are Christians. Our principles are generally in line with Christianity. I don't think calling the US a "Christian nation" is too far off.

We may live under a secular state, but we are a Christian nation.

Sorry...but we are not a Christian nation...never have been and hopefully never will. I myself am Christian, but I am thankful to live in a Country that is multi-religious and allows people the right to choose whatever religion they choose to practice. Regardless whether you or any other American believe we are a Christian nation is irrelevant...and to put it bluntly rather egocentric. It is THAT attitude that give Christians a bad name and why while I am a Christian will never identify myself as "Christian". It is the attitude that our particular religion should have greater significance than others because more of us practice it. That view stands in direct opposition to the principles that this Country stands for.

Thanks!....I think if more "Christians" were more like Christ and followed his teachings rather than politicizing his name for their right-wing agenda....the world and this nation would be a much better place.
