On another news, what do people think the G20 summit will achieve?
I think it will do nothing to solve the global crisis although reporters are saying tax havens are going to be stopped and the bankers salaries will be affected
    Serious question:

If its not a big deal, then why do people like you feel the need to go to these events and start **** with police? What are you hoping to achieve? Do you just really like standing in a huge group all day, or are you merely hoping deep down that a cop will accidentally trip you so you can totally be a victim of police brutality and your friends will think you're super cool?
People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Maybe you were. You sound like an extremist, blaming the police for everything.

    Don't make ridiculous statements
You're blaming the police for the "riot." Make no mistake about it, this was not a "riot" but a "direct action" by anarchists and socialists. It was planned months in advance. Gee, I wander why people continue to associate anarchism with violence and chaos....

Do you not think what we are facing is a crisis?

Oh dear god, Brown wants another stimulus - i never thought there would be a day where i'd advoce conservatives to getting in and stopping this foolishness. Enough with pouring tax money at ****. If it collapses, tough

    The enviromental protestors no less!
That was disgusting, if it was the BOE one, that is understandable despite the fact i was trapped. There was people there causing trouble but the enviromental protestors did NOTHING to warrant such police activity and the legal observers who oversee this was trapped with us and was not allowed to leave
Environmentalist are not pacifist. I was not there and as far as I know there are no videos on econuts just standing around peacefully protesting and minding their own business and the mean ol police just beat them up for no reason and took them to jail(although the British government does spy on its subjects so there might be video of this if it actually occured) and by your apparent hatred for law enforcement one has to take your word with a grain of salt.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

Forcibly removing and hurting the people sitting down

All CCTV footages were shut down by the Govt. for a few days. I don't put anything pass this Govt. They want to "monitor" our IPs and what we do on myspace/facebook etc.

When you're a professional activist everyting is a crisis, otherwise you'd have nothing to do. The whole protest was set up so that the protesters could be portrayed as victims of the Man.

Oh no, riot isn't my term. It was a term from the newslinks.

Those Anarchists were also put down and rightly so.
As i said, peacefully protesting is one thing. Causing damage is another and assaulting.

Overall the police did a wonderful job but there were moments in which they were the bad guys and not the protestors
