Man dies during G20 protests in London

Tree huggers eat granola and communists eat babies.

You know what I love about tree huggers(and I now live in an area full of them). Its the paradox of being a tree hugger. They all want to embrace nature, and emulate what they believe to be natural, but yet abhor violence on even the most miniscule level(cutting down a freaking tree). Have they not gotten the memo that nature is extremely violent? Or have they simply smoked so much of nature, its rotted their brains out?

Yeah. I don't get why you can't love trees and also bathe, shave, and wear deodorant.

If they've been ordered to get off their asses and clear out, they're in violation of the definition of "lawful assembly", and can be hauled off like sacks of trash.

This isn't exactly how it works.

We've had some sick **** here too. The other day a guy cut his little sister's head off on her fifth birthday as she was cutting her cake. After that he stabbed his other sister multiple times. I don't know if she lived or not. I think this is symptomatic of our cultural decline.

Are you british?

Laila,

Did you know these protesters use phony... theatrical blood.

Some deserve a good smacking, and I'm surprised more aren't injured or dead.

.

That must be what Hamas does too.

Absolutely, and there were hundreds of others also there.

The enviromental protestors no less! That was disgusting, if it was the BOE one, that is understandable despite the fact i was trapped. There was people there causing trouble but the enviromental protestors did NOTHING to warrant such police activity and the legal observers who oversee this was trapped with us and was not allowed to leave

Of course you got to agitate the crowd into violence when the timing is right.

Did the protesters attack the police or did the police attack the protesters in this video below?

And do we need to be using hounds on people?

Lets make it easier. Who is aggressing who? I don't see protesters wearing gear to beat the **** out of anyone.

I think protesters need to learn how to all grab for a singled out officer with shield/club and have 3 people rip it out of the cops hand and start divying them out to those willing to hold the line without actually hitting a cop. Disarm them, then then continue the protest.

I don't think a cop will be willing to stifle you without his tools.

Ill admit there was some harsh displays by the police for example the fact they trapped us all in and we had no supplies or anything sucked, but you know thats to be expected since the worlds 20 most powerful leaders where attending one event. Its called security measures, the police did there job, and this blood and guts nonsense was conducted by a bunch of drama queen communists and tree shaggers. Dont buy it for a minute that the police where out of line, believe me i was watching them closely. These so called hippy "peace in the world" protestors in the meanwhile where putting bandanas over there mouths and setting things alight, throwing stones and smashing shop windows. It felt like Gaza during the war.

They where aggressive with protestors when the time called for it, when they where trying to smash the ranks of the police, and i doubt you can use the fact the police where in gear and the protestors where not as an indication of the metropolitan forces barbarianism. As Bullet posted earlier, there where incidents where protestors got hold of police uniform. Got knows what they would have done had they have got access to weapons the way they intended too.

When it comes to this kind of protest, there are going to be so many volatile emotions on all sides. I do think that the police are treated to too readily shut down a relatively peaceful demonstration due to singular incidents, and this is a policy that needs to change. Unless there are signs that a riot is going to start any moment, there is no excuse for disbanding everyone on the guise of violence when only one person has fallen down.

In Canada a few years ago, during the G8 summit, an agent provocateur was actually caught red handed by one of the organizers of the protest. The organizer saw a man with a mask heading towards the front of the protest with a rock, and chased him, ripping his mask off. He was a member of the RCMP who was instructed to cause a violent incident that would give the riot officers justification to fire tear gas. This incident was highly embarrasing for the Canadian Government and shed light on this worldwide practice. Most of the developed nations do this to suppress demonstrations.

In this case, I think the guy genuinely did have a heart attack, and the crowd assumed the worst. The police have too much power in general but in this case you can't really blame the police. The guy passed out and the crowd over reacted.

So then police violently shoving the man to the ground didn't cause his heart attack to fire off? Maybe it was the walking then.

There's no way to know if his heart attack was already impending or not when he was shoved to the ground. Frankly, if you have a heart condition you shouldn't be at a massive protest. It's an intense place to be even for healthy people.

Kinda hard when the protest is in between you and your work and you are walking home from work. Like this man was.

The policeman pushed him over he got back up and later had a heart attack.

**** happens. I believe in going after those who are guilty, but you can't always blame the police.

Good. I don't understand why people put up with these uncivilized people anyway. I pay taxes for police to do exactly what the policemen did. Wasting money and time with tear gas definitely needs to be replaced with iron billy clubs. If the police had any sense they would issue a statement admitting that this happened and that anyone that attends the protest the next day, does so at real risk of this happening to them as well. I hope the policeman that did this is given a rank and payraise for doing a good job.

Government has no rights, government is not an individual and hence can possess no rights. Government has granted duty and power, but not rights. The government is not to act against the rights and liberties of the individual. Thus the government does not have the right to control such acts. They have the responsibility and duty to act when the rights of others are infringed upon; riots, property damage, assault, etc. But that's it, they don't have the lawful ability to prevent assembly, association, redress, and protest less the rights of others are being infringed upon.

I do not prefer anarchy, but I do prefer freedom.

partly true, they don't have the right to prevent, but they are required to control and keep the peace....and protestors who fail to follow lawful orders are perfectly legitimate targets of police control...

Most anachists are all about freedom, as long as it is for their idealisms...

So now the guy didn't die from a heart attack. But hemorrhaging. Goodbye manslaughter cop.

Here is newly resleased footage with an angle that shows a bit of the force that was put upon the G20 sacrifice's head. You can actually see his head slide across the ground a little bit...

One part of me thinks the police should have Tasered them all. Or bashed their heads in. All of 'em.

Another part of me is more reasonable.

Then you sound as careful as me. Always wanting to be right. Except I would tazer none except the fool that I thought wanted to punk my mom that I couldn't handle. Agreeing with someone and then choosing what is wrong is still wrong. But my logic can only come from me and is prolly flawed.
