Alfie, 13, not baby's father, paper says | Stuff.co.nz

The schoolboy alleged to have become a dad at age 12 is not the baby's father, according to a British tabloid.

The Mirror says that Alfie Patten, now 13, discovered he was not the father of Chantelle Stedman’s baby girl, following a DNA test.

Alfie was photographed last month holding the newborn, Maisie Roxanne, and said he "adored" her.

The story sparked a heated debate about family values and under-age sex.

Uhhh.......I'd ditch them both and go to school. If this turns out to be true(I don't really know the validity of the source) then this kid needs to do everything he can to get his normal life. I feel bad for the baby. But if it ain't his he shouldn't have to deal with it.

Is anyone really surprised?

Kid should thank his lucky stars he hasn't hit puberty yet. 10 years from now, he'll be ecstatic that it turned out this way.

WOW! Talk about getting a second chance!

He now has a shot at leading a somewhat normal life.

I feel bad though for the mom and baby.

I only feel bad for the baby and especially for Alfie. He has been the father and even though he is not the actual father, he no doubt has bonded thouroughly with the baby. I can't imagine thinking you are the father and months later someone saying, "your not the father, we have to take the baby away." I would be beyond heartbroken. Not only the betrayel of the mother, but this little baby that has taken over your heart and now is not even a part of you.

As for the mom, she gets no sympathy from me at all. She made her bed and now she has to sleep in it (along with half a dozen boys apparently.)

That paper is a British tabloid. I do not believe it to be a valid source. If the information does turn out to be correct I would say thart Alfie just got his life back.

FWIW, the Mirror has deleted that article without explanation.

what article.....

The link in the OP is referring to an article that was on the Mirror website, though it doesn't contain a link. The Mirror since deleted that article. Just found out why:

The British schoolboy alleged to have become a dad at the age of 12 is not the baby's father.

It is understood the family of Alfie Patten - who caused an international media storm when it was revealed he became a father at age 12 - is taking a British tabloid to court after it reported the results of a DNA test that showed that he was in fact not the father of Chantelle Stedman's baby girl.

...

Responding to the leak of the test results, Alfie's father told media representatives that all newspapers had received a gagging order on publishing details of the results and they will be taking the Mirror to court.

lol

The Mirror routinely gets the shiite suede out it. They are known for this and will likely pay off Alfie's family.

Meanwhile, the damage is done. However, seeing as how Alfie is barely in the 6th grade ... I would say he was just spared several years of abject misery.

Back when the article existed (it wasn't taken down, it shows a technical error when you try to hit it) it said that 5 other dudes banged the pregnant chick. She's 15!

What a slut.

I only feel bad for the baby and especially for Alfie.

I couldn't believe when I read he'd said this "“I take responsibility and will look after baby Maisie like a grown up father. I am the only one who slept with Maisie's mother Chantelle," Alfie told the media whilst holding what he then thought was his baby daughter."

What a star. At 12/13 yrs of age too.

They deleted it because they are being sued sideways for publicizing private medical information about a private citizen.
