If you cannot present a rational argument, people won't really give a **** about the fact that you get all emotional.

In fact, most of us feel that if our stance elicits an emotion-laden outburst from you -given the source of that outburst- our stance must be 100% correct.

Ludicrous comparison, offensive and uncalled for. There is a vast difference between a few rounds with gloves on by voluntary competitors, and torturous executions of people imprisoned for their faith. Point dismissed.

Clearly you don't understand much about boys and young men. (Modern PC socialogical BS doesn't count.) My oldest friend and I ( 25 years we've known each other), fought in various controlled, competitive sparring matches against each other when we were younger. We learned to respect each other in the process, and still joke with each other about the outcome of various bouts. It's a "real-man" male bonding thing, and I suppose those who havent' experienced it can't understand it.

There is a sort of irony to it, I suppose.
--- on the one hand, you have the liberals: who want to hand out free condoms to teenagers, because they figure they're going to act on their natural sexual impulses anyway, but DO NOT want to allow boys a controlled and safe outlet for their natural aggressiveness... VS
--- some very conservative folk who are OK with a sparring venue in school to vent natural aggression, but maybe NOT Ok with making condoms available to teenagers.


It's sort of funny, in a ironic way. At least in boxing matches, a torn boxing glove doesn't result in teen pregnancy. :rofl

I've been questioned and arrested a few times for punching mouthy men in the mouth and elsewhere. Never convicted. Young men with particularly loud mouths also have particularly bad hearing. No matter how loudly I would say it they just couldn't hear that he should get out of my face or I was going to hurt him.
