Pope in Africa says church must help the poor

This is highly moronic, but expected from you. Also lacking in any topical substance, again expected. And an unwarranted and unsolicited attack... again... not unexpected.

Now you could redeem yourself by adding why it's moronic and then you could provide proof that people who pray not to become pregnant, don't get pregnant.

Prove

"Yes. The evidence is people who get pregnant because they prayed not to get pregnant instead of using a condom."

And I will apologize for viewing your post as moronic. :2wave:

My x-wife and I had unprotected sex one night at her brothers wedding reception. She prayed to god not to get pregnant. We have a son.

I look forward to your apology.

Sorry, I'd have to find you believable in order to accept that as "proof" and given your anti-christian bigotry, i feel sorry for her. no offense.

Ummmm...her prayer did not make her pregnant--you did, and she did, by way of the choice you both made to have sex. Didn't anyone tell you that babies come from sex?

Sure they are, the gun being eternity in hell.

Only if you are Catholic and believe in Hell. Are the WHO and other public health charities all Catholic and believe in Hell as a part of their mission?

Didn't think so. I await your next hysterical absurdity.

Let me give it a shot. The church believes that it's gods role to determine when and if you get pregnant. Therefore, doing anything that might impede gods will must be the workings of satan. How close am I?

*rolls up news paper and swats Slope on the nose"

No! No! Bad! Go lay down.

apparently you and your pals didn't understand the challenge Rev made. :2wave:

Maybe you should try to remember what you say, here I'll help you.

I don't see the Catholic Church holding a gun to anyone's head and banning them from doing so.

I'm not even sure what Catholics believe anymore, they change their dogma as often as the wind blows.

I was unaware that protestants don't believe in hell.

I await your next hysterical dismissive tactic.

And maybe you should try to comprehend what you read:

If other groups want to teach sex education that includes birth control and condoms, that's fine. I don't see the Catholic Church holding a gun to anyone's head and banning them from doing so.

You know, other groups as in the WHO or health advocacy groups? You want me to draw you a picture next time so we can avoid all this confusion? Hmm?

I'm not even sure what Catholics believe anymore, they change their dogma as often as the wind blows.

And that's a blatant lie.

I was unaware that protestants don't believe in hell.

No ****, sherlock. But they don't take their direction from the Pope. Hell, a lot of Catholics, me included, don't take their direction from the Pope. Try not to be so obtuse, hysterical, and boorish next time. kthanxbai

I await your next hysterical dismissive tactic.

Whatever, SS. If you could match subject/verb agreement at all, you wouldn't have found yourself in conflict with reality. Again.

I'm not even sure what Catholics believe anymore, they change their dogma as often as the wind blows.

In nearly 40 years of attending Catholic mass, I've never heard one whit of the "dogma" change, period, at all. You got evidence to the contrary? Be specific.

Abstinence approach : Fail.
.

In your owngoing bigoted campaign against the Church, you actually fail to read what I wrote. I said that following the teachings of the Church is far safer. It demonstrably is. You twist what I said - of course, par for the course for you.

You need to get a life. It seems all you live off of is your bigotry against the Catholic Church.

They also seem to ignore the fact that many of the worst affected countries have relatively LOW Catholic populations.

I learned a couple years ago from my experience with this very board that mouthfoaming only builds momentum and is magnified when you try to use logic to combat it.

In other words, it is a fools errand to try to get through to a bigot.

I know, I know. The bigotry of some here regarding the Catholic Church is palpable.

Bwwwwhhhaaaaaaaaahhahahahahahah!!!:rofl:mrgreen:
:bravo:

BTW--if you would like respect for your religious beliefs, you might want to reconsider how you address others' religious beliefs.;)

This ignorant stance is one of the main reason i have little/no respect for the Pope.
I think catholicism has no place in Africa; especially a stage like this where HIV and AIDs is so rampant, his out of touch approach does not help nothing.

Alot of people attack Islam and my beliefs - I will not take it personally if you attack it you know =]

All the other things you've ever said before or after "I don't see the Catholic Church holding a gun to anyone's head and banning them from doing so." don't really matter. It was it's own sentence and you said it.

And that's a blatant lie.
Not a lie, more of a sardonic comment of opinion. I'm not surprised you can't tell the difference.

It's not relevant whether or not you take direction from the pope. He is the defacto leader of your particular cult. Don't like it? Don't call yourself a catholic. kthanxbubai

Whatever, SS. If you could match subject/verb agreement at all, you wouldn't have found yourself in conflict with reality. Again.
Aww, don't go away mad...

Well now you're just reiterating the fact that you can't comprehend English. Everyone else understood it except you. Is that highlighting the fact that you are obtuse or are we just to take it as a sign of what to expect from you in the way of intelligence from here on?

No, it was a blatant lie. Something you are known for.

Which has exactly what to do with the WHO or other health advocacy groups taking their direction from the Catholic Church? Oh that's right...absolutely nothing. Care to play again?

Aww, don't go away mad...

I'm not angry. I'm astounded at how far from reality you can venture. Actually, I am more astounded at myself for indulging your little fantasies and addled imaginings.

Learn to diagram a sentence. Next time you get confused, use diagrams to sort through the sentences you don't understand. If that fails you, get mommy to explain it to you. Do this to save the site the bandwidth and space currently being used to help you through remedial literacy proficiency.

Aww, do you have a problem with the concept or the word "dogma"? How about I change the word to "teachings". Would that prevent the obtuse challenge?

I remember that when I was a kid we couldn't eat meat on Friday...

That requirement was never rescinded.

Canon 1251
Abstinence from meat, or from some other food as determined by the Episcopal Conference, is to be observed on all Fridays, unless a solemnity should fall on a Friday. Abstinence and fasting are to be observed on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday.
