I am not sure how much they could have impacted an agreement made prior to the government saving AIG. I'm too dumb when it comes to this issue to understand what should or should not have been done.

Liddy from AIG has an editorial in today's Washington Post that I posted in another AIG thread. I'll re-post it here in case you want to read it.

easy, no money for bonuses in the agreement between the .gov

better yet, we should not have bailed them out period.

The reason I ask is because of the fact that one Geithner is saying something on March 10 , 2009 while another Geithner was in charge of the NY Federal Reserve in 2008 which gave AIG initial loan.
Now if they are the same person? well I think you all will get my drift.
Well no not really. It's not immediately obvious to me that the Treasury sec would be aware of the bonus options of one division of an 18,000 person private company when giving out a loan. If you'd like to connect the dots, I'm listening.

From Liddy's testimony, I have to wonder if the Fed was disclosing information to the administration.

Liddy didn't know if the treasury department had been informed directly, but said they had discussions with staffs of certain unamed congressmen.

What is funny is how ridiculous Obama's "Call the TARP Money Hotline" statement looks.

I can see the hotline handlers.
    Filing their nails.
    Picking their noses.

And when **** hits the fan... Obama will blame us for not calling and as a penalty will tax us more so we pay attention next time.

The way these folks are acting on The Hill, it's not an absurd thought anymore.
    The Clintons are what happens...
when you have NO MORAL COMPASS.
