    Mum: Will Anyone Sleep With My Down's Son

    Lucy Baxter says she will even pay for a prostitute so he can lose his virginity.

    The mother has now set up a Bebo page for Otto appealing for potential dates to come forward.

    The leading campaigner has three other adopted sons with Down's.

    She said: "I'd like all my boys to find love and enjoy sex.

    <snip>

    "If he doesn't get a girlfriend, I will feel really bad, because I have sold him this thing that he is like everybody else. That's why I'm working overtime to get this sorted for him."

    I am still trying to sort out what to think on this, on one hand I hope her quest is fruitful, on the other she could be setting Otto up for a lot of potentially overwhelming emotional turmoil and potential heartbreak. Hopefully if it comes to pass he will enter (no pun intended) the situation with realistic expectations.

    Suddenly the movie "Inside I'm Dancing" comes to mind, although it dealt with physical impairment (cerebral palsy) as opposed to mental impairment. Which on a side note is a PHENOMENAL movie!!

    I really hope this quest results in more good than harm for Otto.

    I'd think it would be harmful and that is it.

    I think sex for the mentally challenged is probably dangerous. They may not know how to keep their desire's to themselves, or to keep themselves from going after it to the tune of being too sexually aggressive, especially aftert experiencing it. It's true the unmentally challenged have this problem, but this is my point. Many regular fellows aren't able to handle it, so this could lead to an explosive situation for the MC.

    I know we had a DS kid that came to us to learn work skills. I believe he was in love with his teacher. He was quite emotional when we would talk to her. He was very possessive towards her, and was quite angry when he felt we were hemming in on his territory. He would shout very angrily when any of us spoke to her.

    I've often wondered what the MC kids do when they go through puberty, or have those sorts of desires. Think it could be quite problematic.

    I think the Mom is an idiot quite frankly. This seems like it would hurt the kid more than it would be beneficial. Honestly, the world has gone completely nuts over sex. It's crazy. I don't know that they could experience love the same as a normal person would. Love is usually fraught with hurt in reality.

    It sounds like the mother is in denial more than the child is. Sheltering children from realities that they will have to deal with for the rest of their lives is not something I support. Maybe he will find that special someone who will want to be with him, but he need not be deluded into believing he is just like everyone else because that is not the way society treats him.

    People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
