Selling sex legally in New Zealand

This is interesting.

What the hell kind of questions are those?

Did legal prostitution make these women safer??

You're using a success story of legalized prostitution to bolster your position, how strange.

The human trafficking operation was discovered and dismantled by regulatory authorities...duh? I wonder how many human trafficking operations come to light in unregulated black markets. Furthermore, you lack proof that this instance of human trafficking was caused by legalized prostitution rather than prostitution in general.

Again, throwing around your emotionally charged opinion is not a good debate tactic.

I was just offering the counter opinion to the argument that being a call girl is a fabulous and exciting lifestyle.

It sure is... It's like playing Poke'Mon in real life... but with STDs... "Gotta Catch 'Em All!"

The Bunny Ranch is a privately owned brothel.

mission statement
Not sure, but it probably has something to do with providing a safe sexual experience to its customers.

I don't know what you are asking me.

75th Anniversary Edition Call Girl Barbie®

Every little girls dream, to grow up just like Barbie.

G.I.Joe sales will sky rocket, and poor Skipper will be forced into the black market to keep up with demand.

I'm sure it may be for some, but I certainly never thought it was 'fabulous' and 'exciting'. Pretty boring, actually. Though it was certainly more 'fabulous' than any serving wench job I've ever had. And a lot more lucrative. I'll take boring for $600 - 800 an hour, though.

Please describe the business model you propose for this industry.

What is the business model for a strip club?

To maximize profits by getting guys horny to throw dollar bills, charging a cover charge and a min drink.

Add that to a brothel, to get guys sex.

Any other questions?

You didn't even try for an answer.

If prostitution were federally legal, what conditions of the brothel license would you impose? What requirements would an applicant need? What would dissolve the license?

What about a Manager’s Certificate? Your typical brothel in Nevada, for example, MUST have the licensee on site. Is this true of the bunny farm; would this be a requirement for other brothels?

Is this a business you would allow to be run out of the home (like a daycare of fewer than 4 children per employee, not to exceed 20 children present at a time), or would you require that any brothel have it's own facility (like a tanning salon)? If it must have it's own facility, would you allow it to be near a neighbor, or are there hazards inherent in the industry which would require it to be moved out to an aria zoned for commercial?

This is important as those are 2 distinctly different zoning and building codes to live up to.

I'm asking technical questions because it seems that those on the pro-prostitution side have not thought this through, but simple agree with the face of it in theory.

What industry? Prostitution? Why on earth would I have a business model?

......see folks this is why women should stay in the kitchen where they belong :2razz:

Tell you what, go to one of the brothels already in operation in Nevada and ask them, then you will get the answers you want.

Since I do not want to open a brothel personally, I don't have them.

Much like I couldn't give you the exact details of what I need to open up a restaurant.

A very easy google search will get you the names, but since you seem to not be able to do the search on your own, here is the link for you. Email them and ask away.

Now you sound like my BF. :2razz:

Why would I have a business model for a business I have no intention of starting? Even if I were to get back into prostitution, it would be independently.

So I'm failing to see your point.

The regulation you want to have in place s critical to your argument.

If you assert that human sex-slave trafficking would not happen here like it has everywhere else, then you should be able to point directly to why that would be so.

Again, I tell you, go to them. They will give you the answers you are looking for, I don't think anyone on this board is opening up a brothel, so why would they.

As for sex-slave, can you show me where these ALREADY LEGAL brothels can do a sex-slave operation?

You can't.

Oh ok, I can't, even though I already did in our True Debate on prostitution, I can't

Let's say I want to open a business where I'll own a small fleet of party busses. These busses, witch already exist in Denver, take high-rollers as customers and drive around the city swapping out prostitutes as they go.

Think of them as strip clubs on wheels.

Charter busses already require a commercial license with taxi and air brake endorsements to operate. However, that's assuming everyone onboard is sitting down. Here, only the customers will be sitting down, while the prostitutes will be dancing on installed polls.

Will my driver need another endorsement to operate this buss?

How will dancers affect my bus's insurance?

Let's say I also want a wet bar on every bus. Clearly I would need a liquor license and a licensed bartender in addition to the driver, but does the driver now need a haz-mat endorsement?

I'll need 2 bouncers, also. One to watch the "floor" and one to screen independent licensed prostitutes as we swap them out. Easy enough there, these are regular employees.

However, do I need to record the license number, how long I had them and an itemized list of services they provided? If so, how does the state want me to record this information? What municipal authority do I give the report to? Can I be audited?

What penalty do I face if I use unlicensed prostitutes?

Can I simply charge each independent prostitute a flat fee and let them worry about the rest?

Can I charge each customer a cover charge and impose a 2-drink 2-trick minimum?

I also want a live feed from each buss to my website......

If prostitution were federally legal, .

If prostitution were federally illegal why is it legal in certain counties of Nevada?

IOW Jerry prostitution is NOT federally illegal since federal always goes over state laws.

What you quoted didn't claim that prostitution was Federally illegal, so wtf are you talking about?

Honestly the pro-prostitution side hasn't brought a strong argument here. How pathetic.

I'm setting aside my objection to prostitution to see if any of you have thought this through. Clearly no one yet has.

What....you just want the state to back off? Yeah right, that is NOT going to happen. If the state smells money they'll go after it.

Some on this thread have said that they want it legal so that it can be made safe. Fine. How, exactly, will the regulation make it safe? Some argue that making it regulated will prevent sex-slave trafficking. Fine. What specific safe guards would be in place?

I elect people to take care of that ****. I think tree cutting services should remain legal too, but you don't see me coming up with or trying to modify any 'business plans' or specific regulations. Aint my job.

So if your argument is that the pro-freedom side has a weak argument due to not having outlined some 'business plan' or a spreadsheet of specific regulations and how everything would work down to the local level, then I must say that your argument is not only weak, but pathetically desperate.

Jerry your questions are answered by contacting the EXISTING establishments.

You refuse to, so feign ignorance all you want, noone is buying it.

The answers are, run it like existing LEGAL brothel establishments in Nevada.

So does anyone have a problem with two people who meet at a bar and have wild sex that night? Or is it only when he hands her fifty dollars the next morning does it suddenly become taboo?

You don't know for yourself how they are run, so you don't know what "run it like existing LEGAL brothel establishments in Nevada" means or how that contradicts your other arguments on this thread.

Yes, if you support tree cutting reform you should be able to point out specific things you want addressed; such as a commercial license, OSHA 10Hr certification, basic power-line safety certification, demolitions license (my grandfather uses that one for large stump removal), OSHA chainsaw certification, that you want independent tree cutters to have full coverage on their truck, an 'Accidental Death and Dismemberment" policy for each employee, and similar.

Most of the prostitutes in Nevada are street walkers, btw, so regulations for brothels don’t apply to them.

You would have known that if you had a clue of what you were talking about :2wave:
