When you present a substantive position....
Blah blah blah.

Given that, the position stands, all of your "nuh-us" not witstanding.

Thanks for playing -- next time, step up your game.

Blah, blah, blah...I'm right cause I say so. That should be your title.

Yes, that's what -you- keep saying.

Which is why you know that you cannot quote my argument and tell me exaclty how I am wrong -- without being intellectuall dishonest, anyway -- and why you do everything you can to avoid having to do so.

All you need to do is tell me how I am wrong.
But you won't.
Because you know you cannot.

I think Obama should heed the words of his hero President Abraham Lincoln’s noble Civil War promise “to care for him who shall have borne the battle”

Only the super-loony of the loony left disagree with that.

Honoring that would require giving up his hi other hero's messages... all that stuff he's following from a guy named Karl M.

I believe he will. The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Veterans Affairs has already said that such proposal would be opposed, and it was signed by 13 of its Members--both Democrats and Republicans.

Too bad... It would have been a great opportunity to prove the leftists wrong... I would have guessed this would not pass, though. I consider this an attempted political suicide attempt by Obama.

Hmmm. Throwing out an idea and only an idea in order to save the federal government some money. Yeah, that's a total leftist point of view.

You mean the employees of the contractors?
Probably private insurance companies, paid for by their employer, the contractor.

What are you talking about? I was referring to the general notion that "if the government wont do it nobody will." As I've alluded to in previous posts, I've been asking around and I haven't found a single person yet who would not willingly sacrifice a portion of their paycheck to pay for wounded soldiers.

Okay. That's not how I read your post. In a prior post in here, I mentioned the likely rationale for this suggestion, which appears to be of monetary concern. Obama has asked for MORE money for VA. During Bush's term, he had veterans assigned different priorities, and had to cut off a number of veterans from receiving health care at VA facilities. Obama is asking for that limitation to be removed by 2013. So don't give me this BS implication that leftists don't care about veterans or aren't willing to sacrifice a portion of their paycheck for wounded soldiers.

I didn't imply that anywhere; you inferred it. I'll bet there are members of the radical left who would not be willing to pay; I'll even place money on it. These are the same folks who spit on our troops during the Vietnam War. These are the folks that need to just pack up and leave.

And I'll bet there are members on the radical right who would not be willing to pay.

I see that you're nothing but a hyperpartisan person. See ya. :2wave:

Somehow, I doubt it.

I'll just leave this right here.

And then she says this ^^^

Irony so thick, you need a chainsaw.

:rofl

Are you that blind? You feel like you can say for sure that ALL radical right wingers would support paying more money for wounded soldiers? ALL? ALL? Give me a break.

I doubt any of them would be opposed to it for ideological reasons. There might be some who cannot pay because they are unable to due to fiscal restraints, but that's not what I'm talking about.

Do you genuinely believe that just because someone has certain political stances that you can somehow speak for every single person who has those political stances? How old are you?

Do me a favor: first define "radical right." Then find me someone who would be unwilling to pay for the care of wounded soldiers due to ideological reasons. I gave you Jana Fonda, and you know damn well there are a ton of people out there just like her. About the only people who I can think of who might be considered "radical right" and wouldn't pay are the "Fag Enabler" folks and I'd be more than willing to give them a plane ticket out of here too.

You talking about Westboro?

Yeah, they're the ones.

Re: The American Legion Strongly Opposed to President's Plan to Charge Wounded Heroes

Yeah, they're the ones.

I thought so. They're not radical right. They're just radically stupid.

-- Do you really want the US to be like England where they're considering taxing people based on their Body Mass Index? --

That was in 2004, and it was an idea by a group who was tasked to think of radical ideas. Like a lot of their ideas - it never happened.
