I mean, the article was obviously talking about a Model UN conference, right?
Hey, I was in the Model UN!

    As was I, sister.
People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

We didn't have it in my school. I was in Mock Trial instead (Lead Prosecution)... and Drama Club (Lead, quite a few times)... and Math Club (Vice President), and Muslim Student Association (Treasurer)... yeah, I was a nerd. I made up for it by chronically not doing my homework. It's a miracle that I ever passed. To add to my nerdiness, I was on Speech and Debate after going to college....

Look at it this way: as long as they're spending time talking about BSG, they aren't doing any harm, as they would be if they were passing moronic resolutions instead.

Maybe if we could keep the US Congress harmlessly occupied talking about BSG for a few months, we might be able to pull out of this recession.

The UN is doing what it always does, wastes money and gets easily duped people into liking it.
I had to look up what 'split tail' meant - a euphemism I apparently am unfamiliar with - but if you're implying that Starbuck was male in the original series, then I don't really care about that. Didn't watch the original, don't have any plans to, don't care about it. But the Starbuck in the current series is hot, and never wears a skirt. Was the original Starbuck hot? If not, then the current owns > the old one.

Yeah. That number 6 cylon is pretty damn rockin', but something about Starbuck makes me want to let her throw me on the hard metal floor of a spaceship and let her have her way with me.
