Officials: Afghanistan Taliban leader was at Gitmo

The Associated Press: Officials: Afghanistan Taliban leader was at Gitmo

.S. officials say the Taliban's new top operations officer in southern Afghanistan is a former prisoner at the Guantanamo detention center. Pentagon and CIA officials say Abdullah Ghulam Rasoul was among 13 prisoners released to the Afghan government in December 2007.

So we rushed to force Bush to release prisoners at GITMO, Rushed to give them constitutional rights, and look at us now reaping what was sewn.

I'm sorry, but who forced Bush to release the prisoners at GITMO? Is it really that hard for you to find any fault with Bush for doing this? It just seems to me that if the story were reversed and it was Obama who released them that you would be criticizing him for doing so instead of blaming it on some seemingly invisible scapegoat as you are doing here. Please, correct me if I'm wrong.

I fully blame bush for caving into left wing pressure. I also blame the supreme court for affording constitutional rights to non citizen savages in direct opposition to a previous ruling.

Any other assumptions you would like to make?

Well, in the end it was really his decision, wasn't it? The left wing pressure has nothing to do with it. There are always going to be people who disagree with government policy. And like I said, I'm not sure if you would be making similar excuses for Obama if the situation had been flipped.

Any other assumptions you would like to make?
It wasn't an assumption. I just stated that it appeared to me that way and was willing to be corrected if I was incorrect. I did that because I knew you'd find a way to perceive it as some sort of attack. I was trying to ask a legitimate question.

I'm not worried and that had absolutely nothing to do with the points I brought up.

    Oh well ...

Now, if they are in Iraq/Afghanistan. Headshot. Problem solved. Move on.

GITMO is still open. Obama promised to close it. We see what happens when we release savages before the end of a war. What is your point?

What attack? I simply answered your question which was about me, not really the topic. Are you really complaining now? If so let me know so I can ignore you. If not, cool, lets talk about this subject then. Your choice.

Which, again, has nothing to do with my point.

Ah, I see that you are still playing the baiting game. I asked you a legitimate question and you got a bit defensive about it and I explained to you that I specifically said that I was willing to be corrected if I was incorrect to avoid the typical drama that swarms around your threads and it seems that you are incapable of having a discussion without that happening. So please, feel free to ignore me. Oh, and I was discussing your views, not you personally so don't try that old song and dance.

Sure it did, and I'll make this easy to illustrate....Do you believe that Gitmo should be closed?
