AIG investor Broad abandons hope of recovery | Reuters

This man is giving up on AIG, indeed he may well be correct in his asumptions.

However, he was a Director of AIG and was and indeed is in some way responsible for the mess that AIG became.
Directors are supposed to know if the decisions they make will likely carry unacceptable risks for their company.
Or perhaps he was a Director by virtue of having a large shareholding.
Either way he should have known what was happening within AIG.
Talk about rats deserting a sinking ship!
