WASHINGTON — President Obama has chided his attorney general, Eric H. Holder Jr., for describing America as a “nation of cowards” when discussing race, wading into a tumult that flared over Mr. Holder’s indictment of the way this country talks about ethnicity.

“I think it’s fair to say that if I had been advising my attorney general, we would have used different language,” Mr. Obama

Is the point of this thread to to debate the President's quelling of the Attorney General, or is it to bash the President because your partisanship binds you to a code of conduct that resembles much like that found in Mother Goose stories?

I am glad that the President said this about Attorney General Eric Holder; the man has made some pretty stupid remarks. I do not think he really wants us to discuss race... I do not think a comparison of the races will be good for anybody and def. not something to base public policy on... (To Eric) it's called Social Darwinism, and if you keep writing this legislative bull**** to bring equality to the races, you are trying to pour chloride in peoples eyes you ignorant p.o.s. Now, let's leave the subject of race and how government should handle it, and put this fight into race and how citizens should ****ing deal with it.

I would have polled it too. Don't want to say something that would upset the populace.

Eric Holder seems to be the guy that the Administration isn't letting sit at the cool persons' table just yet.

What a ridiculous statement.

Almost every blog as well as the majority of Polls speaking about the stimulus plan, are rejecting this idea of using Taxpayers money to jolt the economy back to life.

Strangely enough, I see absolutely no sign of Obama changing course and cutting back.

Obama apart from openly chiding his AG would likely caution his own wife (albeit privately) from making or continuing to make her own blatantly racist remarks, at least in public.

People such as Holder and Michelle must at some point realise that racist and racism do not improve the lives of the population.
Indeed it should be inherently responsible of them to bring the races together, not push them further apart.

That is slightly ridiculous.
But I am going to consider it a brain-fart. I seriously don't see how you can draw the conclusions that Obama is a leader.

What did they do with Michelle? Caution her?

No.

They put a sock in her mouth much like they wish they could do with Biden. Then she disappeared for a while. Shades of how they treated Hillary when Billy was co-President, and shades of what they did with Kerry, Pelosi and Reid during the mid-terms in 06.

Hide the radical faces that you can hide.

Just as she was getting that "I'm not proud of my country" bit down pat, they realized she's a loose canon that hadn't shed her Princeton baggage, and hadn't quite perfected Alinsky-speak.

What Holder did was absolutely outrageous, and to be AG and call the nation a bunch of racial cowards reveals some deep seated problems, or at a minimum a perverted view of America and Americans. What type of Justice will come out of this man's office?

The sequestering of an academic thesis was unprecedented at Princeton, a liberal university that prides itself on open access to scholarly information. Despite repeated attempts by media organizations to view the document, Obama’s alma mater would provide no explanation for hiding it.

The thesis written under her maiden name, Michelle LaVaughn, is titled “Princeton-Educated Blacks and the Black Community.” You can download it here.

Politico.com received a possibly redacted copy from the Obama campaign recently. The excerpts show that Obama identifies with black militancy, utterly obsessed with race in America and her own blackness. It is a fundamentally racist document, shocking when considering that this scholarship is the product of a presidential candidate’s wife at a great university.

Obama’s thesis is full of paranoid claims and overtly racist feelings. She cannot accept the idea of a diverse student body working together in a melting pot. Others worry about her black militancy here.

“I have found that at Princeton, no matter how liberal and open-minded some of my white professors and classmates try to be toward me, I sometimes feel like a visitor on campus; as if I really don’t belong. Regardless of the circumstances under which I interact with whites at Princeton, it often seems as if, to them, I will always be black first and a student second.”

Not only does she see separate black and white societies in America, but she elevates black over white in her world.

“There was no doubt in my mind that as a member of the black community, I was somehow obligated to this community and would utilize all of my present and future resources to benefit this community first and foremost. “
