Police say 5 dead in Cleveland shooting

A woman and four children were found shot to death in a west side home, and police were searching early Friday for the woman's husband, who fled the house on foot.

"It's probably one of the worst multiple shootings that I've seen in a long time," said Police Chief Michael McGrath. "I've seen a lot of previous ones, but this ranks right up there at the top."

Police SWAT, vice and gang units had swarmed on the two-family home after the Thursday night shootings on a tree-lined street of older, mostly two-story frame houses and some apartment buildings.

Police said there were two rental units in the house, and all the victims were killed in various rooms of the upstairs apartment, where they lived.

I wonder how many of those who went off on rants about 'abortion' in this thread will blame this on something akin to the culture of guns or Republicans. For some particular reason I doubt any of them will. Their consistency will surely take a beating.

Come on man, the culture of guns?

If there was a culture of guns, and this instance was a representation on that culture of guns, then I would be surprised that we don't have people running up and down streets shooting each other willy-nilly. We have the most guns in the entire world (citizenry). To put culture to something like gun-- a piece of bent metal-- is crazy-talk.

Gun is just the medium. If the intent is there, then the killing will still be there. To get rid of violence, you have to rid humanity of being humans.

Read the other thread. Seriously. Read it. Then you'll understand what I actually said.

Man why did you have to suggest that. Now, I gotta go wash my eyes out with peroxide.

....seriously. Does context mean anything to you?

Another compassionate liberal, gleefully using the tragic death of others, to make a political point.

Tell us:
What's it like, hoping to wake up every morning to the news of a mass shooting?
