Oh that's just stupid. There's no way that the US intentionally used a modern, functioning, commercial satelite to take out a fifteen year old broken relic.

This is just ridiculous. I hope the Russian people aren't stupid enough to take this (retired) man's idle speculation as gospel.

There is no report about this on the Russian variant of the web site. Also majority Russians do not trust reports as easy as Americans do. If there is such a report in Russian, a big majority of Russians would react with the first thought “Cool”, “those who made it are smart guys”….

This catches attention in the Russian variant of the page:

ZAGS Moscow will not register the child with the name "BOCH RVF 260602"

    13:20 18/02/2009
MOSCOW, February 18 - RIA Novosti. Capitol ZAGS for more than six years has refused to issue a birth certificate and register the child, whose parents named him BOCH RVF 260 thousand 602 , told RIA Novosti deputy head of Moscow ZAGS Tatyana Ushakova.
Parents, in turn, did not wish to give their child a different name than BOCH RVF 260 thousand 602, which stands for "biological object man-kind Voronin Frolova, born 26 June 2002."
All this was done to protect the interests of the child. After all, parents should think about the child, as he live with this name, but not on its ambitions ", - said Ushakova.

I don't know how to put this...

It was my fault. I planned my satellite to pwn a Russian one. I need better cell phone signal.

    I support your cell-signal rebellion!
