This coordinated attack on an entertainer is rather funny.

Do you think the Obama camp is making the right choice here? Propelling the 20 million listeners a week talk show host to political foe legitimacy?
When I saw Rahm Emmanuel saying that Limbaugh was the head of the GOP, I thought, "You're kidding me, right?" My point being, why aren't they above this kind of crap? What could they be thinking?

Excuse me while I e-mail Barack. (I'm making a joke, but I am truly bewhildered by the attention the Obama people are giving to Limbaugh.)

By the way, I didn't know that Gibbs held a stupid press conference...over this. Puleeze.

I am amused by these new terms being coined in an effort to pretend this kind of recession has never occurred in the past.

Toxic assets? Were they tainted with anthrax?

Stimulus plan? Is this where government screws the American people?

Government investment? A new term for tax and spend?

The Government cannot invest in anything; it TAKES from those who do invest and spends on constituents who will VOTE for them. In other words, it just TAKES from one sector and GIVES to another.

Government cannot remove "toxic assets." It can only buy them out with the tax money it confiscates from the companies and people it is buying them from. Nothing has been removed, the burden has been shifted and in the end, the people getting the "stimulus" up their butts will in the end (excuse the pun) be the American people.

When the Obama administration says it is removing those tax loopholes from corporations, think in terms of this; he is going to make us all pay for the increased cost. When Obama says he is going to raise their taxes, think in these terms; he will be raising OUR costs. When Obama talks about Carbon taxes, think in these terms; a tax increase on ALL of us.

When you increase the costs of doing business, business doesn't pay for it; WE DO.

It gives many a warm feeling to think that the FAT cats are going to get theirs, but the sad truth is that the only ones who will be “getting” it are the American people who will carry the burden of these increased taxes and costs of doing business; the very people Obama claims to champion.

Corporations are not entities that PAY taxes; they are tax collectors for the Government and ALL of their costs are passed to the consumer. Those companies that don’t, will not be around long and be filing for bankruptcy; see GM for exhibit number one.

Here's an interesting point: we see a lot of attacks on Rush, but notice we never see those who impugn the man argue his points or facts.

I'll paraphrase, Rush says the Republicans are focusing on policies while no one else is discussing the philosophy and values of Conservatism but he.

It's important that someone is saying what Rush is saying.

Why else is the White House attacking him?

    Why aren't they ignoring him?

If he was inconsequential they wouldn't waste their time.

No one is pointing out that the economy is tanking due to Obama's big government, big spending, power mongering agenda.

Not relevant to the debate over the stimulus package. Whether you like it or not, there are still two parties in the congress and many Americans don't like having their candidates silenced and pressed out of discussion about how hundreds of billions is going to be spent.

    Argumentum ad populum. Dismissed.
This is a Republic. When we are discussing whether something is controversial or not, or whether its supported or not, the majorities opinion on the issue is really the only thing that is relevant.

Obama won by a strong majority. The Democrats had huge gains in congress. Obama is a very popular president so far, his agenda is popular so far, and by a large margin when polled the electorate wants Republicans to work with Democrats, and a solid majority of Americans when polled believe the Republicans are acting as obstructionists for political reasons.

Thus, it is the Republican agenda right now that is very controversial and lacking support among the majority of voters.
