Obama sees 'tougher times' for African-Americans

Obama sees 'tougher times' for African-Americans

"You know that tough times for America often mean tougher times for African Americans.
    END OF THE WORLD NEAR
Minorities, woman and children to be hit hardest.

    "State of the Black Union."?

Uniter? This is more like The Great Segregator.

"At the same time, we know that government cannot and will not succeed alone. It will take all of us stepping up and doing our part. It will take the commitment of parents and teachers and community leaders. It will take a renewed faith in our common purpose and common values."
Common purpose and common values? LOL

His values are not consistent with American values. For him "common purpose" means the ever increasing role of government in our lives and businesses.

Where is the talk about US succeeding (not government), our rights, our freedoms, our prosperity?

Can you say why he is wrong? Better yet. Draw a cartoon telling us why he's wrong. Then maybe I'll take it more seriously then your ridiculous post and whatever point you tried but failed to get across.

Re: Obama sees 'tougher times' for African-Americans

I never have much respect when people get seperated by skin color. If a white President made such a statement about how things were gonna be tougher for caucasians he'd get lynched by the media.

But the race part is just cover for the REALLY interesting part:

The new administration had done "more in these past 30 days to bring about progressive change than we have in the past many years," the president said in prepared remarks, pointing to his 787-billion-dollar economic stimulus plan to revive the battered US economy.

Obama also highlighted his audacious 3.55-trillion-dollar budget plan for 2010, which bristles with economic reforms and spending on healthcare, climate change and education in a bid to end America's worst economic crisis since the 1930s.

"You have tapped into a yearning in the community to address our toughest problems instead of leaving them for another day, or year, or generation," Obama told the gathering.

"I have seen that same hunger as I've traveled across our country among Americans united not by the color of their skin but by a shared determination to build a more perfect union; to not only revive this economy but to transform our country.... And that is the work my administration has already begun."

This freaking scumbag, and Obama is now a scumbag in my books, believes we all yearn for a big government country, and only HE can bring it about.

You can call me a partisan fool if you want, and I'm sure those still drooling with tingled legs whenever Obama speaks will do so, but Obama is the most dangerous man ever to sit in the White House. He's not out to ensure a free, fair country country where we are able to pursue Life, Liberty and Hapiness. He's out to Transform the country in his image.

We have gone right past the slippery slope and out into freefall.
Climate, changes. It takes a particularly uneducated population to buy into the idea that it's their fault climate is changing and further political solutions can fix it.

Frankly I'm getting tired of the whining of black people. They need to get off their ass and get to work.

Obama sees 'tougher times' for African-AmericansFrankly, I am growing tired of trolling/baiting comments like this. Do you realize how racist this comment sounds? Knock stuff like this off, or there will be more significant consequences.

Yeah because great paying jobs are just so easy to find these days. In fact, any person not making 100k a year is just lazy.

All those millions of people lining up for unemployment are lazy and just doing so to **** over the economy. This whole recession was actually secretly launched by the NAACP so that black people will never have to work.

Personally, I'd rather flip burgers then take money from the government.
