Limbaugh Rallies Conservatives to Fight Democrats, Find 'Right Candidate'

And that's a safe thing... flying fighters... He DID request to go over.. just didn't happen.

And I'll add in Bush's defense, he was trained to fly the F-102 Delta Dagger...without a doubt one of the most dangerous planes in history. That counts for at least something. I wouldn't have done it.

He did? I heard he didn't even show up for long periods of time, thus indicating that he is not a reliable person. Do we want flakes in our expensive jets?

Rush got deferred for a boil/cyst on his butt, so I can understand why he is such a loudmouth. Sitting on that cyst must be painful...:2razz:

Time will tell if I am guessing correctly, but I think that motormouth has seen his best days, and so has the GOP unless they find a new dear leader...

Bush did miss ANG training on several occasions while tending to political career building.

Mention Rush Limbaugh and the slapnut liberals show up in force.

I think it's funny how they're terrified by radio talk show hosts like Limbaugh and Hannity.

Me too when you actually listen to these people. They have so little of worth to say. Buy every Republican party member a copy of Reflections on the Revolution in France and you'd achieve a lot more than Rush can.

Obama should have left Rush alone.

Well bush and dope head rushidiot don't mean **** any more and the proof is that Obama has *****80%***** of us real Americans on his side!
-
The other 20% can't think for themselves so they rely on rebups to do their thinking for them.

What percentage are you in? the 80% or 20%?

I quite like Alinsky. He was about decentralised, community power. There is a lot to admire in that.

No, he was about elitism controlling the people through tactics that are highly unethical and horrible. All based on the premise the people are too stupid to know what's right only the select few, and their power should be absolute.

Care to back this up?

As far as I can see he was about decentralised organisation and realist approaches to taking on the establishment. He wasn't Gandhi, he certainly attempted to fight his foes hard and at their own game, but he was hardly "horrible". He was certainly liberal but he was far above the centralised, establishment liberalism that Obama today stands for.

Exactly what he has to do with elites I don't know. And community organising is a lot more democratic than the usual electioneering.

Actually, it's the slapnuts on the other side who come out. It folks like you who rally around this blow hard. The rest of us just roll our eyes and turn the station.

Why would you think anyone is "terrified" at the idea of right wing talk radio hosts the likes of Hannity and Limbaugh? They aren't all that great and they didn't really do you any good last election.

80%

Don't suppose you could back that up with something like facts?

Plenty of slapnuts exist on both sides of our pathetic 2 party system.

I agree 100%.

It's idiots like Hannaty and the media in general that hurt a good candidate like Paul.

PS 3rd party candidates in general get a raw deal from our media.

Seriously, what is Rush Limbaugh going to do to Barack Obama? Why should Obama have "left him alone?" I think any damage Rush could have done, he would have already done.

Rush is the wrong person to put the GOP back together. The day of his kind of extremist rhetoric is over. I think Republicans are sick of that kind of negative, virulent blabber. At least I hope they are. The campaign that was mounted against Obama was one of the most detestable things the extremist right have ever done. You don't need them trying to fix the damage they did.

Actually, I agree with you here. Limbaugh is not the right man to be promoting the Republican party. People are going to believe that the party is nothing but extremists. Limbaugh hurts more than helps.

Good god man, you guys are implementing New Deal II right now, don't lecture us on old ways. We lost because we didn't listen to Limbaugh for 8 years and spent money like drunken liberals. Please go back to your side of the aisle, we don't need you.

Well the first New Deal had Republicans as a minority party for the better part of the 20th century because they were so reactionary in the 30s. Don't make the same mistake again or you could find yourselves in the same position you were in.

Obama should have left Rush alone.

Absolutely not. The more Rush speaks...the better it is for moderates//liberals.
Rush is such a hypocrite/idiot that he alienates everyone except for the right-wing idiots that simply regurgitate everything he says.

I hope Rush keeps speaking LOUDLY. That means good things for those in my camp.

Who do you think Rush is going to endorse in 2012?

Jindal?....:doh

Huckabee?

Palin......:2funny:

Good luck.......GOP....if you let Limbaugh and his extremists continue to rule your party....

Wrong as usual, no surprise though. Find one post of mine anywhere, where I've rallied, or even supported Limbaugh.

The rest of us just roll our eyes and turn the station.

Sure you do.

Why would you think anyone is "terrified" at the idea of right wing talk radio hosts the likes of Hannity and Limbaugh?

You ran right into this thread running your mouth, then try to downplay it....lol...

They aren't all that great and they didn't really do you any good last election.

They're talk show hosts, entertainers. Real Republicans aren't enamoured by media types like the slapnut liberals are. You're the ones getting all "tingly" up your leg...lol...

This is an interesting article.

<Top Dems Planning Amped Up Efforts To Elevate Rush As GOP’s Public Face>

<op Democratic operatives are planning a stepped up campaign to promote Rush Limbaugh as the public face of the GOP — an effort that will include recruiting Dem governors to make this case on talk shows, getting elected officials to pen Op eds arguing it, and running more ads pushing it, a senior Democratic operative says.<

<Another sign that Dems will be amping up efforts to stamp Rush’s face on the GOP is the fact that Brad Woodhouse, a major proponent of this strategy, will soon take over as communications director at the Democratic National Committee. Woodhouse’s current group, Americans United for Change, just launched a new ad pressing the Rush-owns-the-GOP message.>

The more that Rush Limbaugh, Shaun Hannity....Sarah Palin....Jindal...are the face of the GOP....the better it is the for the Democratic Party.
Come on...Republicans.....get behind the leaders of your party and lets keep them in the spotlight!!!!

I agree, with all this time spent attacking the opposition, the Republicans are moving even farther to the right and actually helping Democrats.

It makes Dems look good, not only for Obama's reelection, but for future elections.

You just seem the type. Hyperpartisan, talk a lot but don't really say anything. You can see where I would make the connection I'm sure. People like you epitomize what is wrong with the right. You embody the failure of the GOP.

Sure you do.
Yeah, okay?

You ran right into this thread running your mouth, then try to downplay it....lol...
I know right, just like you! The thread was opened for discussion. It's what we do here. We "run right in and run our mouths." The difference is, some of us actually make points...and then...well you know the rest.

Is that your professional opinion? :rofl

Yeah, I see what your posting...and yet...nothing.

Like I said, hyperpartisan...big talk...little substance to the message.

Rush seems to have gotten a pass on drug use, sexual harrasment, racism, etc. I am not sure why the Conservatives have always gave this good ole' boy a "pass".. Oh Wait! He is one of them and that makes it all okay.

Where did you come up with this? why did you reveal this? How do you know Obama knows this?

Republicans tried warning others but to no avail. Even Alinsky's son came out and praised Obama for putting Rules for Radikals to almost perfect use.

Obama is a Radikal. His words during the campaign revealed it, and now we see it play out before our eyes every day.

Son sees father's handiwork in convention - The Boston Globe

Barack Obama's training in Chicago by the great community organizers is showing its effectiveness. It is an amazingly powerful format, and the method of my late father always works to get the message out and get the supporters on board. When executed meticulously and thoughtfully, it is a powerful strategy for initiating change and making it really happen. Obama learned his lesson well.

I am proud to see that my father's model for organizing is being applied successfully beyond local community organizing to affect the Democratic campaign in 2008. It is a fine tribute to Saul Alinsky as we approach his 100th birthday.

I can't help but laugh at the irony of conservatives rallying around a draft dodger. Oh what a tangled web we weave.

Abso-freaking-lutely! It's pathetic too.

Cept... Bush didn't dodge the draft so...

America finally elected a Black President, only to willingly allow this man to enslave them to the Government.

THAT is irony my friend.

Oh, of course he's not a draft dodger. He just made sure he didn't have to go to Vietnam. That's could never be seen as a dodge drafter.

It is so good to be rid of George Bush.

How unfortunate that the GOP is now moving more right instead of refining the ranks. You think it would have learned after the elections what was needed.

Everyone is a "radical" these days it seems. However it doesn't mean much unless you define it.
