Updated revenue projections show that regulating Internet gambling would generate approximately $52 billion in revenues for the U.S treasury over the next decade. This fact should get lawmakers attention given the state of our economy and need to find resources for critical government programs.

Here we go again with the govt trying to find more ways to tax its citizens. No matter that it's unnecessary and that taxes are too high already, we need more more more revenue, and those evil gamblers need to pay up.

Legalized & Taxed > Illegal and Not Taxed

Legalized & Taxed > Illegal and Not Taxed
RightinNYC....what's with the socialist insignia?

Anyway, I'm of the opinion that gambling should be legal and not taxed....

It had to first be made illegal by the govt so they could control it. There is no rule in the Universe that every issue must have legality tied to it.

I was trying to show the new mods how to change their group affiliation by changing mine to socialist, and in doing so i somehow broke something and lost my boldedness and reddedness. People were pming me because they thought I was quitting as a mod, so now i left it like that until vauge can fix it.

summary: im a dumbass.

Anyway, I'm of the opinion that gambling should be legal and not taxed...

Why is money earned in gambling any different than money earned in the stock market or in working a job?
