Too bad for the rest of NY that they'd have to deal with the fact that I'd be transferring my ass out west immediately.

Waiting for the market to drop a little further, then NYC is collectively going to see about purchasing the state as a vacation home.

Looking back, it actually wasn't that bad of a deal for the Indians. The purchase price of 60 guilders was the equivalent of $1000 in their day. $1000 compounded over 383 years @ 6% interest is $4.9 trillion. The total assessed value of the island of Manhattan is only $169b.
