After making this (IMHO) disgusting remark and having it reported.
Sen. Jim Bunning, speaking at the Hardin County Republican Party's Lincoln Day Dinner.
Went on to accuse other Republicans of not doing enough (giving cash) for his election campaign.

    Naturally he later apologized.

Quote from article;-(“I apologize if my comments offended Justice Ginsburg,” Bunning, a Kentucky Republican, said in a statement released by his office. “That certainly was not my intent. It is great to see her back at the Supreme Court today and I hope she recovers quickly. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family.”)

An apology from a Politician or even a wannabe Politician is about as meaningful as the phrase ' It is in the post'.

Gotta give Bunning a break on this one. He is senile as hell, and doesn't belong in the Senate anyways. He was a decent pitcher with the Tigers, though.

    From the article:
"I apologize if my comments offended Justice Ginsberg," the two-term Kentucky junior senator said Monday in a statement, which misspelled Ginsburg's name. "That certainly was not my intent."
You apologize if your comments offended Justice Ginsburg? Is that your apology? That's NOT an apology. That's a statement that, "I'm a jerk, and I meant what I said. I'm just sorry if it offended Ginsburg."

    He is an asshole.
