Cutting the President Slack Is So Old School

Lets see, maybe in the last US crisis... does 9/11 ring any bells? Nah, I'm sure your selective memory doesn't allow you to see the truth in the OP's statement.

The libs had no choice but to support Bush.
Then the anthrax attacks on The Hill followed quickly.
The socialists were in shock like much of the country, but the socialist was in absolute shock and awe for a different reason.
They saw their decades of hostility to the intel services, military and military preparedness... their Democrat chickens... coming home... too roost!

What really concerned the Democrats? Loss of Power.
Too weak to oppose because of their decades of anti-American ways, the Democrats pushed for a second vote to send troops to war... all for political posturing... political gain. Plugging the massive holes in their ship.

Given the first opportunity, the anti-American party did try to crap all over Bush.
It's in the socialist's nature.
Then they escalated... created their own "Surge" of hostility and irrationality.
And Boy! Did they go on a rampage against Bush and a war they voted for.

Their Senate Leader said "we lost".
Others claimed our troops were like Nazi's.
Terrorists. (Even mouthed by that guy who couldn't bear to wear and American flag pin or put his hand over his heart during our National Anthem).
Claimed our General in the field was "Betrayus".

The Socialists helped our enemy in an effort to defeat Bush and destroy Republicans.

So, the anomaly that looked like support for Bush was nothing more than political maneuvering to buy time to figure out how to extract themselves from the mess they were in.

The Democrats behaved, used a tactic often exploited by Hamas. They feigned support (a cease fire) in order to restructure their destructive ways.

Once they had their ducks in a row, BOOM! They started firing their Scuds at President Bush with the aid of their propagandists in the press. The American Mainstream Media Party (AMMP) did what is in their nature as propagandists... what they have been trained to do from their Anti-American Propagandist (journalist) Schools.

As I recall, it wasn't just Liberals who were against Bush, but also the classical Conservatives, and especially the fiscal Conservatives. See, there weren't just moral reasons to oppose the invasion of Iraq, but also financial reasons as well. Why spend billions on a cause that has no real justification? Bush also did a great job of alienating the moderates on both sides of the bench, both through his economic and social policy.

So, you can't just brand all his opposers as "liberals"... that is too neat and tidy. There were tensions within the Republican party itself that are only coming to the surface now, mostly because people won't get fired or dragged away for talking about it.

You are a poor advocate for "coherent honest debate", as you can't even stay on topic, much less carry on a discussion in a civil tone. This is not a name-calling contest, and I still haven't heard a representative from the right offer a single example of a Republican administration which was dogged from inauguration day by a concentrated Democratic effort to cause it to fail.

Your selective outrage and trolling my threads and comments has been noted and is......pathetic.

Carry on, I wont expect you to ever address anything in a thread other than feign your outrage at my comments while ignoring the rabid partisan babble on your side of the aisle; yes, I am sure now you will deny being a leftist.

:applaud Bravo and spot on. Of course you will generate a lot of outrage for telling it like it is; we all know how Liberals hate having their unabashed hyper partisan blather slapped back into their faces.
