Gov't Reportedly Mulls Taking Larger Stake in Citi

The government is thinking about taking 40% of Citibank. A while back, if you remember, Citibank bought out Morgan Stanley. An inside joke says that it is now known as City Morgue. Not so much of a joke, actually, the way it's stock is tanking. Although I don't like the idea of the government owning part of it, rewarding them with money with no strings attached for running the company into the ground is something that I hate much worse.

Good thing I got rid of my Citi bank card last month.

I hear the govt's hesitation is due to a delay in getting an updated copy of "Government Control of Banking for Idiots" from the Kremlin.
