Chavez now can reelect himself for life. Maybe War With Colombia???

Today, in Venezuela the people voted a referendum. Chavez won with 54,4% of the votes and now can be re-elected for life just like Fidel Castro!!

War with Colombia is now more possible than ever...

Why would they even care? They don't live in Colombia.

I was hoping this wouldn't pass. Dolores Huerta must be beside herself with joy.

    I'll fix that for you.

Chavez wins vote to scrap term limits in Venezuela

CARACAS, Venezuela – President Hugo Chavez won a referendum to eliminate term limits Sunday, paving the way for him to run again in 2012 and beyond to push through his vision of a socialist Venezuela.
"This victory saved the revolution," said Gonzalo Mosqueda, a 60-year-old shopkeeper, sipping rum from a plastic cup outside the palace. "Without it everything would be at risk — all the social programs, and everything he has done for the poor."
Venezuela's leftist allies in Latin America have followed the model. Ecuador pushed through a new constitution in September and Bolivia did so in January. Both loosened rules on presidential re-election. Nicaragua's ruling Sandinistas also plan to propose an amendment that would let Daniel Ortega run for another consecutive term.
Chavez warned his opponents — whom he calls "sore losers" — to respect the results.

"Any attempt to take us down the path of violence, by failing to recognize the results of the people's will, will be neutralized," he said.
This is so telling how people soon forget the history of the world.

I love this one especially "Without it everything would be at risk — all the social programs, and everything he has done for the poor."

The social programs are what matters most and not individual freedom.

I honestly think he should be assassinated.

Then the douche bag in Bolivia may need some lead love to.
I was discovering that life just simply isn't fair and bask in the unsung glory of knowing that each obstacle overcome along the way only adds to the satisfaction in the end. Nothing great, after all, was ever accomplished by anyone sulking in his or her misery.

How quickly do some Libertarians turn into Neo-Cons and start supporting interventionism of everything they don't support.

Not at all. Its perfectly Libertarian to hope someone who is a tyrant to his own people to get killed by his own people.

So wait. Is he a tyrant according to what you consider a tyrant? Good to know.

He certainly could be considered one.

The founders of our country considered King George a tyrant and we put up with more **** than they had to under him.

    Its all about perspective.
