Iran Announces Trial of Baha’i Leadership

This story has a personal meaning for me because my boss' brother, Jamal Khanjani, is one of the imprisoned Baha'i leaders in Iran.

Shirin Ebadi, the lawyer for all 7, had her office ransacked and closed down by the Mullahs, and there is speculation that she may also be arrested soon.

Jamal was originally charged with blowing up a mosque, killing scores of worshipers. After it was found out that a member of Iran's army had done it, that man was arrested, but many feel that he was just a pawn in a black flag operation done by the Iranian government in order to execute the baha'i leadership in Iran. 20 years ago, the entire Baha'i leadership was executed by the Mullahs, and now it may happen again.

They could very well be executed now. They finally go to trial in front of the Mullahs next week, and prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for all 7. The charges?

1) They are spies for Israel.

2) They committed acts of propaganda against the government.

3) They insulted Islam.

No evidence of any kind has been brought against them, and these charges are just as trumped up as the original charges of terrorism and murder, which were most likely committed by the Iranian government itself.

Things are now getting much worse. The Mullahs are getting names and addresses of all Baha'i members, along with addresses of their businesses, and going to mosques, ordering everyone not to do any business with them.

The Baha'i in Iran (and that is all of them) have now become a societal class of "untouchables".

Where's Obama, and our oh so experienced Secretary of State Clinton at? You'd think with the wars in Iraq & Afghanistan, along with the violence in Palestine, our focus would be the middle east, not Asia.

A lot of talk during the campaign about reaching out and talking one on one with Iran, repairing broken relationships. I guess a little more cleansing will be needed in Iran before we get some type of knee jerk reaction from the Obama Administration.

No American President can do anything about the Iranian political/religious sickness.
They must heal themselves..
The world could do a lot more, if unified, to protect minorities, if they really cared.
But they did not care 100 years ago and they do not care now.
Man has not progressed to a high level and may never... ..which will result in his demise...he will be replaced by the cockroach.:3oops:

The mullahs cannot be trusted to conduct a fair non-islam-o-nazi baised trial.

As such, I say have the world tell Iran to release the Bahai people and cancel the trial or Iran gets nuked.

Mullahs = ****bag coward baby murderers

UPDATE - My boss is going to be interviewed on KPFT, and the interview will be aired on the Pacifica Network. I will post the date and time as soon as it is set. Too bad the main stream media did not want to get involved, but it seems that stories about Lindsey Lohan are more important to them.

people are lazy. to encourage support, i would recommend providing not only a generic letter to be copy and pasted as well as the appropriate email address to the White house, and where they can find their congressman/Senator

The trial in what can only be called a kangaroo court has begun. The charges of spying for Israel, propaganda against Iran, and insulting Islam have been accepted, and the trial is before the Islamic Council. Their lawyer, Shirin Ebadi, has not been able to meet with them since their arrest, has not been allowed access to their files, and has had her own office closed down by the Mullahs.

The way I see it, Islam, as practiced in Iran, is a false religion, as no true religion seeks to railroad people who disagree with them with false charges. If the Mullahs believe in hell, then they should be shaking in their boots, because that is where they are headed.

Laughable. No world-class intelligence agency recruits people who are even remotely connected. The danger of “spillage” is simply too great.
