A Torture Report Could Spell Big Trouble For Bush Lawyers

The results of an internal Justice Department probe could pave the way for criminal charges against Bush administration figures John Yoo and Jay Bybee, who crafted the memos to Bush that legitimized some forms of torture. If Attorney General Eric Holder, these reports could also be forwarded to State Bar Associations for disciplinary actions.

Torture by any other euphemistic name is still torture, and it is good to see the Justice Department going forward with this.

    Article is here.

Re: A Torture Report Could Spell Big Trouble For Bush Lawyers

I get a kick out of this:

Mukasey, in speeches before he left, decried the second-guessing of Justice lawyers who, acting under "almost unimaginable pressure" after 9/11, offered "their best judgment of what the law required."
So, it seems this twisted logic is trying to assert that if a lawyer gives bad, illegal and/or unconstitutional advice it's ok if he "offered his best judgment of what the law required." ?

Those folks simply boggle the mind!
Thank You Barack Obama for Restoring Honor To The Presidency.
President Obama will rank as one of our greatest presidents!

The term "They serve at the pleasure of the president" somehow reminds me of Bill Clinton.
