Orchard Park businessman charged in beheading of wife

Well if you want to go to someone for advice who not only believes but promottes the ideas that people should be stoned to death for adultery, homosexuality, and apostasy; and that you should be lashed 100 times for premarital sex then whatever floats your boat. It doesn't make much sense to me to go to listen to such a sick misguided backwards individual week in and week out if you don't actually agree with what he's teaching, but hey what do I know.

My Imam does not condone or support such action and never has. Not once in his lectures that I have sat in and listened to does he preach for death for those who have sex outside of marriage.

GG on spreading lies and misinformation.

They say that hatred is born out of ignorance. Im not so sure of that. It seems the more I learn the more I hate.

That's not it at all.

As a younger guy I went several places of worship where I didn't ascribe to their beliefs fully.
My parents were Christians and went to a church that believed in the holy trinity, I don't.

If you do not believe in the holy trinity you can not be a Catholic. Why would you go to a Catholic church if you don't believe in the Catholic dogma? Once again it would be like a libertarian going to weekly communist rallys.

Sounds to me like a person who doesn't hate Jews going to a Nazi rally. This line of reasoning would not work with any other ideology save for a religious one, "I disagree with central tenets of your philosophy but I'm still going to claim to be a practioner of it and go to speeches promoting these central tenets every weekend."

Anyways if you are a baptist and you start vocally promoting say the right to an abortion you will find yourself kicked out of the church.

You do know that there is no central authority in nearly all Muslim sects. That an Iman may have a differening opinion then what other Imans have on various interpretations of the Quran.

So then he is not a Sunni or a Shia and can not be subscribing to any of the five major schools of Islamic fiqh.

No you can't.
You hate me because I follow a religion you hate

Thank you for admitting it at least.

Mao said that the guerrilla is a fish that swims in the sea (of the people). The terrorist is the same. If the people didn't give them refuge and support, they couldn't exist. A Muslim who condemns terrorism but doesn't turn over the terrorists.

Would you turn over a fellow Muslim to a non-believer?

Stop trying to justify your hatred.

Run back and go join some organisation that hates my religion.
No doubt you are one hop, skin and jump away from moving from a religious bigot to a flat out racist.

Is it not even a little bit ironic to you that as a Muslim I harbour less hate than someone like you who claim my religion has nothing but hate?

It's not an all or nothing thing.

Hell I read communist type literature to learn about it and have come away actually strengthening my beliefs by incorporating a few of theirs.

Re phrase the question because I do not get it, might have to do with your wording or the fact it is 6am and I haven't slept yet

Turn over to what?

Racist? Since when is islam a race. Last time I checked muslims are of all races including my own race. I am an Islamophobe and proud of it.

He is I believe asking if you would turn a muslim in for crimes they committed, to a non muslim.

A moronic question

Hey, I await the day you come on the board and start spouting off about Arabs. Bigots don't really have a line that can't be crossed.

Andd that is my new signature.

Its funny that a Muslim is more tolerant than you.

Ok.....nice and easy

Mao said that the guerrilla must move amongst the people as a fish swims in the sea. If the sea disappears or rejects the fish, they can't survive. The "extremists" have only been able to maintain their activities because the Muslim community at large has protected and hidden them. If they stop doing that, they're finished.

Would you turn over to the authorities (non believer) a fellow Muslim terrorist?

You do know that there are five major schools of Islamic Jurisprudence which constitute a centralized authority on Islamic affairs and that the majority views establish Fiqh and that minority opinions do not change Fiqh?

Indeed it is.

Whilst I am in UK, British law is superior to any other bonds of community that I have.

If he is asking whether I would sit on information if I knew there was a terrorist in London and I could stop a crime being committed where innocent civilians is killed, I'd reply it must be the most insulting thing I have been asked. I am British and with it comes the responsibilities of being a citizen of a country I adopt as my own and love.

In a heartbeat I would do it.

Well then how can he call himself a Sunni and not support traditional Islamic fiqh?

Who are you to judge him whether he is Sunni or not?

As far as I am concerned, he is Muslim and is following the correct path in the Qu'ran.

Because that would be like a pro-abortion Catholic priest. The concepts are mutually exclusive.

As far as I am concerned, he is Muslim and is following the correct path in the Qu'ran.

Then why the hell does he consider himself a Sunni?

Oh I love how you have been thanked by a Islamophobe.

I am insulted you even need to ask that question, why would I not?
"A fellow Muslim terrorist?"
What? Am I a terrorist now because I am Muslim?

Another in denial Islamophobe probably

What is a "true" Sunni?
Who judges what is "true?"
You? You are not even Muslim to be doing any judging and considering there is no hierarchy of authority in Islam that can speak on its behalf, it is peoples opinion on what they interpret from the text.

Seriously man, not every religious leader follows the religion dogmatically.
Many times they adapt it to fit reality.

Hell the Ottomans practiced a very tolerate version of Islam, for their time.
Jews were advisers and in some cases governors.

Not centralized

The top shia cleric in Lebanon does not hold power over the top Shia cleric in Iraq, the top Shia cleric in Iran does not hold power of the top Shia cleric in Iran

One may be the most respected of all the grand Ayatollahs by the majority of Shia's but his word is not the law when it comes to Shia Islam. Even within countries individual Ayatollahs will have dissagrements with the decisions of the grand Ayatollah, and can decide to use his interpretation of Islam over that of the Grand Ayatollah

There is NO centralized authority in Islam to represent us all.

WHY is this difficult to understand?
