Baby-faced boy is father at 13

Believe me, the Sun is trash.
I hardly take anything written in that rag seriously. I double checked the story using a better newspaper.

So....it's like their version of the NY Post.

It's in The Sun.

That's all that needs to be said.

I don't know why people are acting as if this really has any bearing on the issue.

Is it really that unbelievable? The youngest father in UK history was 12 years old. It's not like this is some world record.

In other news, boy videotapes ghosts. :rofl

Dude that girl is ugly as hell.

The girl looks closer to 17 or 18 (ugly 17 or 18) and the boy looks 8 or 9. Just makes it all the more creepy.

When the baby is 13, the father will be 26. Crazy.

The baby was a girl right? So when its 18 he'd be 31, and probalby look early 20's. I think dad's going to have a hard time when she's bringing home college friends. ;)

What a lovely story. Its about time people should look after their own children without government help.

I'm drunk. But there's no way you can possibly be serious. This is pretty sick by any standard.

haha, right.

Chantelle and Maisie were released from hospital yesterday. They are living with Penny, Chantelle’s jobless dad Steve, 43, and her five brothers in a rented council house in Eastbourne. The family live on benefits. Alfie, who lives on an estate across town with mum Nicola, 43, spends most of his time at the Steadmans’ house.

Probably. This kid and his gf's lives are pretty much ****ed, and the baby will almost certainly turn out as a ****up too.

2 years back a 19 year old came to apply to do the course I teach. She had a 9 year old daughter. She was pretty much abandoned by her parents at 13 - 14 and left to herself. At one stage she lived in Northern Ireland for part of her education

This young woman came 400 miles to take the course that I run and she passed with a high Merit grade. She finished, moved away and is now working in a photography studio and doing well.
She was very determined and although she cried about what had happened she had stopped regretting what happened to her and has a great relationship with her daughter.

Yeah I was shocked as hell when I first found out - she didn't say anything at interview - it came out when her daughter was having problems at a local school with a teacher and I was asked for advice.

Success depends on the parent and their determination to succeed.

This isnt surprising to me. One in a while you will see this kind of thing pop up. The good news is that it's not extremely common for 13 year olds to have babies. I think it's funny that it took a 13 year old to become a parent to spark this much outrage about children having children. I was a teen mother, but I was 17--18 when I had my child. Thank goodness I had finished school. Now, these kids surely would not be able to raise this baby alone so I hope they have supportive families. As long as the baby is loved and gets the attention it needs this can be positive. And perhaps a wake up call to parents to make sure they are educating their children.

The situation is screwed up, but is there anyone that feels they should have had an abortion? Just curious. For the record why I am supportive of people having abortions, I don't encourage them.

I think we are all on the same page agreeing that this birth was less than an optimum situation. But, just speaking for myself, nothing, (short of rape or health issues) in my opinion, merits an abortion. That is a long term solution for a short term problem. But that's just me.

The kid looks like a fifth grader. But he stepped up like a man. I think the world could use more "fathers" like this (only 10 years older:rofl.) Today, especially here in the U.S., too many "fathers" are just too quick to get up and walk away and shirk their responsibility for their offspring.

Just my 2 cents.

I find it incredibly hard to believe that the girl had sex with one guy, much less the eight or whatever number this story claims.

Beer, helping people get laid since 1842.

There now appears to be some doubt as to whether this young fellow is the dad.
The latest news seems to suggest that this girl is the local bike.
Explanation for none brits( A local bike is one that is ridden by any person in that neighborhood) in this instance 8 lads have claimed to have ridden this bike.:rofl

OOPS! baby-faced Alfie is not the baby daddy.

Schoolboy Alfie Patten, 13, NOT the daddy - mirror.co.uk

The schoolboy alleged to have become a dad aged 12 is not the baby’s father, the Mirror can reveal.

Alfie Patten, now 13, had a £300 DNA test after half a dozen boys claimed to have slept with schoolgirl pal Chantelle Stedman, 15.

It proved the 4ft-tall pupil was not the father of her seven-week-old girl Maisie Roxanne.

The result will be a blow to Alfie who was “devastated” by the boys’ claims and “adored” Maisie.

damn, half a dozen boys claimed to have slept with that fifteen year old tramp? You don't say!

I gotta feel bad for guys when this happens. It's so easy to bond with a baby and then to be lied to and find out you are not the father. It would be devastating.
