It was a friendly, tongue in cheek jab making light of your usual anti-American slant. don't be so sensitive.
 
I always found it hypocritical that GW would use civil liberties (the lack of) against countries for political purposes but chose to ignore China's lousy record and continued to kiss their asses.
 
I predict China will pass us economicaly like we are standing still...and in turn will then pass us militarily like we are standing still also...

Only if we continue to try and change them...

If we truely want them to be accountable for their ways then we better do it before they pass us...should have a long time ago!

Why would it matter? If they become a greater military might, why would it make a difference?

They're going through a golden age of sorts, but their record on human rights and environmental issues is awful. Plus, the stuff they make is junk. Pure junk for the most part, their standards (product and production) have to increase if they're going to sustain.

I'm all for stepping up to first-world, but that goes across the board. The US AND other first-world countries have to recognize this and hold China to these standards or otherwise alienate them. Holding the Olympics in Beijing wasn't my idea of holding these guys accountable to acceptable standards - it was rewarding them for being an oppressive, disregarding regime.

Well ,theres the answer then. Their ,"ways", are as ancient and deep as Islams are to their world. China only went capitalist to accomplish desired goals..., the ones you mentioned. :shock:
