Shall I say it requires the willing suspension of disbelief or some cleverlike quip? What do you mean Mrs. Clinton?

I know we need more doctors, but do you think free money from the govt is the way to go?Not really... Although more hospitals being built does sound promising. My comment was in regards to the demand of quality doctors and research MD's.

I thought I did, except with more brevity. :lol:So say that, instead of throwing out a rude one-liner that brings nothing to the table.
How about they subsidize medical school for the top 1% ACT/SAT with half the funds

No, you fail. :naughtyI smoke cigarettes.
YOU FAIL.
Hey OB insurance is nuts, many are going into GYN instead, it's safer. For the top students in the country? That is assuming they want to be a doctor. I could never check arm pits, gross feet, and old vaginas... To make that your profession requires (for the most part) a humanitarian perspective.
Thanks. Cause you smoke, it's bad for you.How so?
I like your debate style, btw.

How old are you?

You're not old enough to know what that smoking will do, because it won't happen till much later. Have fun running.
I could too.
Great idea Golden

State programs already exist for high demand programs such as occupational therapy and speech pathology/audiology. They just require recipients to practice in the state for 3-5 years.
Some people are upset that we export manufacturing jobs overseas. How many foreign doctors enter the US market yearly? 1,000? 5,000?
Something else worth noting:
Unlike other graduate disciplines, there are no bad med schools (not counting the Caribbean). Anyone who gets accepted to any US med school is incredibly intelligent and hard working and has the necessary tools to become a good doctor.
I see no reason why the government shouldn't be more proactive about addressing the ridiculously high tuition by subsidizing the cost of med school. My girlfriend will be graduating with $300k in debt, and will then spend 7 years in her residencies making between $45-55k. Her debt has served as a huge factor for her in deciding to enter a field where she can pay it back as soon as possible, as opposed to entering a field that she might like more and that would better serve the community as a whole.
Wasn't there a problem at one point with foreign doctors coming to America, learning, and then heading back home (as if we could blame them)? Or was that just partisan hackery?
Personally I would love if Doctors from American Medical Schools spread throughout the world. Would be great advertisement to be saved from a local who got his education at an American insitution.
If they could earn as much as they did here, i suppose they would return home. I believe that not to be the general case though. We do have US doctors all over.
Ah I meant a local as in was raised in India, went to school in America, and moved back to India and a local was treated by an Indian doctor who was taught in America.
But I guess we don't have to do advertising for our universities, and medical schools, as they are the best in the world by far.
