How many aid shipments where received compared to people that need it. Basic equation. If need is greater than supply SOMEONE will take it. (My point in its most basic essence.)
You're not grasping what went on here. This is exactly what occurred in Somalia in 1992~3. The humanitarian aid and charity was to be for the suffering Muslims, not the Muslim militias so that they can replenish and continue the fight. American Marines hit the beaches on behalf of the UN to seperate the militias from the aid.
Quiet recently, the UN once again embarked on a mission to aid suffering in a conflicted area and the once again a "militia" moved to seize in order to replenish their forces so that they could continue the fight.
Your point is actually a cry for Hamas support at the expense of the very people hamas is supposed to represent. And this is always my point. People claim to care for the poor Palestinian people, but all they are really doing is seeking a way to criticize Israel. Palestinians had been slaughtered whole sale by Arabs all around Israel for decades. They are maintained as lower than the dregs of society in Lebanon and afforded the bare minimum of rights. And inside the Palestinian "state," their own government has proven, from the PLO to Hamas, that fighting the Arab crusade is more important than correctly representing their people.
If the Palestinian people ever wish to re-capture what they freely gave up in 1947 when they allowed Arabs else where to decide their fate in the face of first time offerred independance by an outside source, they must partner with Israel.....where the freesest Muslims in the region reside.
