Business as usual. The government over pays on anything.

I have had a few government projects in my career and it is widely known that when you have the government as a client you take what you would normally charge and add 50-75%.

Congress was just proactive in over paying this time.

Which is why we need to get them to start purchasing health insurance, right away. IMAGINE the profits that the healthcare providers will get - that will fix the economy for sure.

That's a whole other topic. Insurance companies are the reason medical costs are inflated to unaffordable amounts.

The whole market system is pretty screwed up now and finding proper valuations of securities is pretty much impossible. Several investment firms like Brandeis make a living by spending the lion's share of their time in looking for highly undervalued firms in times like these. Given their success, it seems pretty much assumed that the vast majority of stocks that are directly effected are going to be improperly valued. And knowing the government and the greed of the financial firms, it's far more likely that the stocks were overvalued rather then undervalued. Still, I can't fathom that anyone can get a proper valuation these days.
