No executive orders yet, but from, all appearances from the statements during the Eric Holder press conference shown in the video above, he has been directed to stand down on this.

"What the president said during the campaign, you will be surprised to know, will be consistent with what we will be doing here in law enforcement." After a bit of laughter, he repeated, "What he said during the campaign is now American policy."

That is not something that Eric Holder who supports mandatory minimums and getting tougher on Marijuana would say on his own.

Here is a little take on his personal stance on the matter:

U.S. Attorney Eric H. Holder Jr. said in an interview that he is considering not only prosecuting more marijuana cases but also asking the D.C. Council to enact stiffer penalties for the sale and use of marijuana.

"We have too long taken the view that what we would term to be minor crimes are not important," Holder said, referring to current attitudes toward marijuana use and other offenses...
So although not a signed executive order, it sure seems our executive has given his attorney general an order.

People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Well, first of all let me say that I'm as hopeful as anyone that Obama lives up to the change he indicated on this issue (which he did).

That said, I understand why he's being slow about it, he's already started a war with the fiscal conservatives and this would just rile up the social conservatives into a frenzy. He needs all the political capital he can get for his economic plans, he doesn't want to waste any of it on pot I'm sure.

That said, if we're still talking about this type of action in a few years I will be very disappointed. To be honest, I had a feeling he wasn't going to pursue this once elected, but we'll see.

Obama can't do anything publically. It would be a PR disaster. The gov't has done a magnificant job spending millions of dollars advertising about how dangerous marijuana is, how it will detroy your life, family, and job. These exagerrations and falsehoods have left there mark on many Americans who see pot as more dangerous than alcohol and tobacco and comparative to hardcore drugs such that truly are dangerous such as heroine, opium, and LSD.

Nothing can be done until the ignorance and falsehoods are pushed aside. I don't see that happeneing anytime soon. Additionally, petty drug convictions result in additional gov't income. A "stupid" tax.

If you believe in the Supernatural then you can become a millionaire!

Questioning or criticizing another's core beliefs is inadvertently perceived as offensive and rude.

IMHO, it would be much more politically sound to commit PR no no's in the beginning of his presidency, when his popularity is way up, than to wait.
It is not very unreasonable that the rich should contribute to the public expense, not only in proportion to their revenue, but something more than in that proportion.
