Yeah, you're totally right. He should be impeached immediately! How dare he leave the White House for a couple of hours. This is an outrage!

No man. There is a legitimate issue of image, and choices and how this can look not presidential. You don't want to discuss, you want to throw out nonsense to avoid the topic as is typical of anything obama and his true believers.

Reverend, you've lost here, give it up. Obama said he was tired of being "in the White House" for that day, not tired of being "leader of the United States."

I don't blame Obama for his choice, as his job is probably more stressful in the first month than many presidents before him. All these withdrawn nominees, pressure from the GOP, the stimulus package, etc.

Remember that Bush escaped the White House for relief as well . . . for 8 years.

I'm more than willing to criticize Obama over legitimate stuff. For example, I thought that sending money to other countries for planned parenthood was completely idiotic considering that we are in the middle of an economic crisis. I'm sorry, but I don't consider him leaving the White House for a few hours a big deal. You do sometimes make some legitimate arguments about Obama, but when some of your threads are about little nitpicky idiotic issues like this, it's hard to take you seriously even when you bring up legitimate stuff.

Honestly I think it was a great way to approach one of the other topics on his list of priorities: education. Meeting children at that school and making a statement about school systems was a great way to kick off his education reforms.

Any US president who devoted themself to the complexities and problems of state 24/7 would quicky wind up mentally drained and physically exhausted.

Probably the most important aspect of the duties of a Chief of Staff is to budget the president's time to prevent executive burn-out.
