After playing a game of chicken with Congress, Karl Rove has blinked, and will testify before Congress about the firings of prosecutors, politically motivated prosecutions, and politically motivated hirings in the justice department.

Good move, Karl. You would have gone to jail otherwise.

Article is here.

Great.

Now I betcha his testimony will be riddled with "I don't know," "I don't recall," and "I don't remember." That's if, of course, he does not plead the 5th.

Was he under a subpoena? I don't think he would have gone to jail as there are Constitutional protections even for Republicans Democrats and Independents love to hate.

But that stated, Rove has nothing to hide by testifying and will make a clown like John look even more of a moron, if that is even possible.

I think they should televise this hearing on the mainstream news so everyone can see the parade of losers Conyers calls as witnesses for the Government and then watch Rove illustrate what a moron John Conyers is.

After watching the Bush war crimes hearings, it was obvious to me that if Americans could see these idiots in action, they would have something to REALLY fear; rabid stupidity infesting the halls of Congress.

He's hiring former Clinton staffers to coach him.

Why should he when he could hire pal Alberto?

Now tell me, American, if Rove's testimony is riddled with "I don't knows," will that change you opinion of him?

Depends on the questions.

Ahhhh, I'm going to laugh if their is any curve-balls hes not prepared for. Which there has to be. This is going to be great to watch. I wonder what anyone's status who appears is going to be compared to your status in society. By your own standards. Minus the ego-governor on your self recognition device.

I know you're hoping for a fantasy question, but understand where he's going and who he is. If he's as smart as everyone has been saying, he'll be the smartest guy in the room. You act like they've subpeonaed some dumb**** hick from west Texas. Dream on my friend.

Admiral Ackabar says: ITS A TRAP!

And to be honest, thats all this is really. President Bush could have walked into the DoJ and told the attorneys that he's firing them for political reasons to their face and it would be perfectly legal. As appointees he has the right to release them from service at any time for any reason.

What they are going to do here is try to make Rove perjur himself by bringing up old comments that the firings weren't politically motivated and then trip him up in current testimony by tricking him into saying or even relating any form of political influence over the firings. Boom, instant perjury whether its important or not. Its like the Valerie Plame witch hunt all over again.
