Democrats Launch Petition Against Rush Limbaugh

It never amazes me when the so-called compassionate crowd laughs at a person for addiction to pain killers. Do you realize how easy it is to aget addicted when you're in chronic pain? Or is that funny, too? It's not like the guy got hooked on horse or ecstacy (sp? I'm not a druggie).

:rofl @ "horse" and claiming not to be a druggie.

How was Rush busted? Was he put in jail? Was he prosecuted for getting addicted to a controlled substance used to treat a bad back?

Rush Limbaugh surrendered to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office in April 2006 after being charged with doctor shopping. According to investigators, the 55-year-old Limbaugh bounced from doctors in a bid to secure multiple prescriptions for powerful painkillers like OxyContin. In a settlement with Florida prosecutors, the felony case against the conservative radio star will be dropped in 18 months if Limbaugh continues to undergo addiction counseling and is not arrested again. He also agreed to pay about $30,000 in fines and court costs.

TSG Mug Shot: Rush Limbaugh

This is what exposes the hypocrisy from Liberals regarding Rush's addiction and is quite amusing; you make excuses and care about drug addicts as long as they agree with your profoundly weak political views. But when Rush gets addicted to the crapola taking it for a bad back, he is impugned and should be incarcerated.

You just can't make up the level of intolerance, distortions, hyperbole and outright hypocrisy it takes to be a Liberal people.

I really don't care if he wants to get stoned and I disagree with the criminalization of drugs.

In the audio link below, I go into detail about these non-thinking talking points that "you can't tell people what to do with their bodies" and "you can't legislate morality." First of all, we tell people what they can do to their bodies all the time--no cocaine, no prostitution, no throwing yourself off a building. Second, laws are nothing but defining morality!

I also disagree with the above.

Actually I find it amazingly entertaining for the exact opposite reasonings:lol:

oxycontin anyone?

So you find very little entertainment in Rush's show?

:rofl @ inferring that someone who uses the word "horse" might be a druggie.

Damn, I had no idea how little effort it takes to troll! :rofl

I'm glad I could learn you something. ;)

BTW, it's Jindal.

It's also telling that even you admit that the GOP has no leadership.

Apparently reading comprehension is not your forte’ either. I asked was he busted? Was he put in jail? He was charged, but he wasn’t busted as he turned himself in voluntarily and was not prosecuted nor charged with committing a felony was he?

Your original comment so that we can remain focused on your hypocrisy:

Rush got busted big time.

But yet, you make outrageous claims and laugh that he was addicted; why is that?

What is there to disagree with? Did you even comprehend the statement? It is merely a FACTUAL statement that yes; our laws ARE indeed about legislating morality. So what you are saying is that you disagree with the FACTS?

It is obvious to anyone with a brain that the Republican Party is looking for leadership. But what is MORE amusing is the notion that the Democrats have anything remotely considered leadership.

Carry on; I appreciate your correcting me on the correct spelling of Bobby's last name.

:2wave:

I've also used the word "yo." Does that mean I'm black?

No, it means you are an illegal immigrant that refuses to learn english. :2razz:

j/k

You're welcome. Piyush is his first name if you are interested. ;)

The Dems are making a huge mistake trying to take on Limbaugh. They're going to be so sorry that they ever mentioned his name. They need to drop the petition and just walk quietly away. Obama needs to be careful about Limbaugh too. Unlike some of Obama's other opponents, Rush has a 3 hour daily show, and knows how to speak.

Could his listeners dislike Obama any more?

Yo isn't a black word, they just use it. It was used by the cavalry for a long time.

Great :doh there goes my street cred. I guess I can forget about running for POTUS.

And yeas he was CHARGED:

He was charged with "DOCTOR SHOPPING", not being "busted" for drugs as you suggest. In addition, he was "charged" but not prosecuted or incarcerated for drugs. He has no felony or record. Therefore, your original hypocrisy stands: "he was busted BIG time." :2wave:
